A giant asteroid threatens the safety of Metropolis, so the military and Superman team up to blow it out of the sky. While placing charges along the massive rock, however, Superman discovers that a titan-sized being has been bound to its dark side. Unwilling to put the destruction of the asteroid on hold, the military immediately ignites the charges, sending the 'Prometheon' plummeting to Earth. The trouble is, how do you stop a monster that makes Superman seem like a pesky fly?

| Professor Hamilton: What do you have against him, Hardcastle?
Hardcastle: He's an alien. He has no allegiance, no jurisdiction. I don't trust what I can't control, Hamiliton, and I don't like what I can't trust. | Jimmy: Sonic boom? Earthquake?
Lois: Maybe Perry had chili for lunch again. |
