|
While on asteroid-smashing detail outside the space station, Superman realizes there is something peculiar about the asteroids, as evinced by their mysterious blue glow. Even more surprising was finding a capsule lodged inside one of these massive rocks, and in it, Lois’ long lost childhood monkey, ‘Titano’ (so named after the rocket that sent him into space, ‘Titan 0’). It’s soon discovered that the substance that affected the asteroids, also took effect on Titano in a big way.

| Lois: Er, Jimmy, think you could keep an eye on him for a hour or two?
Jimmy: Me?
Lois: You've got to take the photos anyway, and I know they'll be terrific.
Jimmy: But...
Lois: It's just like babysitting... with flees.
| Bibbo: All right, Cheetah, you asked for it. (slaps giant Titano with a newspaper) Bad monkey! Bad, bad monkey!!

Lois: Yes, I'm sure, so shut up and keep squeezing the monkeys!

| This episode is based on a story appearing in Superman Annual #1 (1987).
| The toy monkey that Titano played with was named Beppo. This was also the name of the Super Monkey that accompanied Krypto, Streaky, and Comet (Supergirl’s horse) in the Legion of Super Pets.
