Granny Goodness realizes that she isn’t going to be able to defeat Supergirl by herself, so she calls upon her Female Furies from Apokolips in order to help her. When Superman learns of this, he goes to help his “cousin”, though he finds himself captures and dragged off to Apokolips. Now, Supergirl must prove her worth as a hero and rescue Superman and save the day, before Earth gets destroyed by a comet that Granny Goodness has sent flying towards Earth.

| Mad Harriet: Oh, poor baby, let me kiss it and make it worse! | Supergirl: (sees a statue of Darkseid) Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley... | Darkseid: Ever proud, eh, Kryptonian? I must say I find it... wearing. | Darkseid: I never settle. What I cannot have I destroy. | Lashina: You gotta lotta guts coming her, blondie!
Stompa: And we're gonna spread them all over Apokolips! |

| How could Superman go outer space without his spacesuit? |
| |
| Dr. Cornell: So, we can expect to see quite a display from Fleischer comet as it passes through our orbit.
The comet sent against Earth is the Fleischer comet, a reference to Max Fleischer, who animated a series of excellent Superman shorts in the early 40s that have recently been re-released. |
