Recap

Sam and Dean break into a house and find a corpse on the floor, covered with a sheet. The rest of the room is covered in blood and there's no ID on the body. They figure that they missed whatever happened but Sam points out a laptop computer with a post-it note saying "Play Me". They do and the words "This should never have ended this way" come up...

Episode Quotes
Kate: Look, I mean, there's got to be an explanation for this.
Brian Wilcox: Really?
Kate: It... was self-defense.
Brian Wilcox: Eating a heart is self-defense?

Sam: Dude, two burgers?
Dean: Hey, I didn't eat at Big P's for at least a year, okay? Clear eyes and clogged arteries--can't lose.

(about Sam and Dean)
Kate: First things first, those guys... those guys aren't FBI, all right? I'm pretty sure that FBI agents don't say "awesome" that much. You know? And--and they definitely don't hunt and kill college kids.
Mike Wheeler: Did--did they say anything else?
Brian Wilcox: Dude, they just sat and talked about how they've been apart for a year. You were probably right about that whole office-romance thing.

Dean: Hey, Sam?
Sam: Yeah?
Dean: Do I really say "awesome" a lot?
Sam: No. No, no, no.

Cultural References
Kate: But of the two, I prefer Last Year at Marienbad.

Last Year at Marienbad is a 1961 French film, consider a classic by some and a turkey by many, which features a man and a woman meeting at a chateau and arguing about whether they met at Marienbad a year ago.

Brian: Look look look. Starsky and Hutch.

Starsky and Hutch are the two lead detectives in the ABC 70s TV series Starsky & Hutch.

Michael: Rizzoli and Isles.

Rizzoli and Isles are a police detective and a medical examiner who team up, on the TNT series Rizzoli & Isles.

Sam: Special Agent Rose, and this is Special Agent Hudson.

Axl Rose and Saul Hudson (Slash) play with Guns N' Roses.

Kate: I know you two idiots are gonna go shoot cut scenes for Jackass.

Jackass (2000-02) is a MTV TV series where guys attempt dangerous stunts and pranks.

Michael: It's like Dumber & Dumber 3.

Dumb and Dumber is a 1994 comedy movie about two idiots who travel across country to help one of them end up with the woman of his dreams.

Brian: Are you an X-File?

The X-Files is a 1993-2002 Fox TV series about two FBI agents who investigate "x-file" case involving the supernatural and the alien.

Dean: Not unless you want to put an APB out on Rocky Raccoon.

"Rocky Raccoon" is a 1968 Beatles single, released on the White Album. Despite Dean's comment, it has nothing to do with raccoons: the main character is named Rocky Raccoon.
