Sam has a premonition about a man's death that is staged to look like a suicide. Once Sam convinces Dean to investigate the case, they are puzzled when they can't find proof that something supernatural was behind the death. However, they soon come across a recluse, Max, who uses telekinesis to kill off family memebers he didn't get along with.

Episode Quotes |

Sam: Well, don't look at me like that.
Dean: I'm not looking at you like anything...but I do gotta say you look like crap.
Sam: Nice...thanks. | Dean: Our family’s not cursed…we just have our dark spots.
Sam: Our dark spots are pretty dark.
Dean: You’re dark. | Max Miller: Nothing says, "I'm sorry" like a tuna casserole... | Sam: Well, I’ll tell you one thing. We’re lucky we had Dad.
Dean: I never thought I’d hear you say that. | Sam: When Max locked me in that closet, that big cabinet against the door, I moved it.
Dean: You have a little bit more upper body strength than I give you credit for! |

Episode Goofs |
| |
Sam and Dean stay at the Escanaba Motel. However, Escanaba, MI is in the upper peninsula, while Saginaw, the town they refer being in, is in the lower peninsula. | In Sam's dream, he can read the Michigan license plate, as well as the license plate number. This is impossible, as the left side of your brain produces dreams, while the right side enables you to read. Thus, you can't read while in a dream. However, considering his dreams are really premonitions, and not entirely dreams, it's understandable. |

Analysis |

Telekinesis in the Real World
Though it's never been proven that telekinesis has been used for death, as seen in this episode, telekinesis has become increasingly popular in the real world and has been tied to Psychokinesis, or "mind-movement". Many cases have proven that people have the telekinetic ability to influence the behavior of matter via mental activity. | Sam and Dean's relationship
This episode is a good example of the close relationship that has developed between Sam and Dean. Dean is able to channel his new-found supernatural powers to help his brother, and Sam was only able to use his telekinesis when Dean was in trouble. Dean also shows that he cares for Sam by telling him that as long as Sam is with him, he won't let anything bad happen to him. |
