Unused scenes include:

1) Episode 510, Scene 8 (extended version): Ash hits on a a female pool player and tries to get her to go on a date to a waffle house. She informs him that she just decided she's gay. He says that's even better, she walks off, and he says, "Give me some sugar, baby," alluding to Ashe in Army of Darkness. Sam then asks him to help find the other psychic children.

2) Episode 510, Scene 20: Ava asks why Sam didn't see his own death. He points out that they're well past crazy, and he suggests a monster might have killed him. She wonders what he means and decides it's better if she doesn't know. She then gives her "I'm a secretary from Peoria" speech and he asks her to stay.

Dean: He said that he wanted me to watch out for you, take care of you.
Sam: He told you that a million times.
Dean: This time was different. He said that I had to save you.

Ellen Harvelle: After (Jo) worked that job with you boys, she decided she wanted to keep on hunting. I said not under my roof. And she said fine.

Ash: And one other name, Scott Carey.
Sam: What, you got an address?
Ash: Sort of. The Arbor Hills Cemetery in Lafayette, Indiana. Plot 486.

Ava Wilson: Okay, look I know how all this sounds. But I am not insane, and I am not on drugs! This is way, way off the map for me.

Ava: (to Sam) Okay, you know what? Screw you buddy, okay, because I'm a secretary from Peoria and I'm not part of anything, okay? Do you see this? I am getting married in eight weeks. I am supposed to be at home, addressing invitations, which I am way behind on by the way. But instead I drove out here to save your weirdo ass. But if you just wanna stay here and die, fine. Me? I'm due back on planet Earth.

Sam: Are you okay?
Ava: Am I okay?
Sam: Yeah.
Ava: I just helped you steal some dead guy's confidential psych files. I'm awesome!

(to a psychiatrist)
Ava Wilson: I just remembered, when I was a kid I swallowed, like, 8 things of pop rocks and then drank a whole can of Coke. You don’t think that that counts as a suicide attempt, do you?

Sam: These are .223 caliber, subsonic rounds, the guy must've put a suppressor on the rifle.
Ava Wilson: Dude, who are you?
Sam: I ah...I just I...I just watch a lot of TJ Hooker.

Gordon Walker: What, you think this is revenge?
Dean: Well, we did leave you tied up in your own mess for three days. (laughs) Which was awesome. Sorry, I shouldn't laugh.

Sam: I want you out of harm’s way, Ava.
Ava Wilson: What about you?
Sam: Harm’s way doesn’t really bother me.

Dean: Well, you're a son of a bitch.
Gordon Walker: (hits him) That's my momma you're talking about.

Dean: Come on, man, I know Sam, okay, better than anyone. He’s got more of a conscience than I do. The guy feels guilty surfing the Internet for porn.

Gordon: Do it. Do it! Show your brother the killer you really are, Sammy.
(Sam hits Gordon)
Sam: It’s Sam.

Sam: All right, so where to next, man?
Dean: One word, Amsterdam.
Sam: Dean!
Dean: Come on, man. I hear the coffee shops don’t even serve coffee.

Sam: So if you really want to watch my back, I guess you’re going to have to stick around.
Dean: Bitch.
Sam: Jerk.

Dean: What's the point of saving the world if you can't get a little nookie once in a while, huh?

At the roadhouse, Sam drinks most of his beer and when he sets the glass down, there is only a little in the bottom. When Ash picks up the glass, there is about twice as much beer left in the glass.

When Scott is interviewed at the beginning, he says, "He says he has plans for me." and Waxler asks "What kind of plans?" But when Sam and Ava listen to the tape at the 20:40 mark, Scott says, "He says he has plans for me. He says there's a war coming... " and Waxler says nothing.

In Ava's visions, Sam's handwriting is different than when we actually see him write it down. The bottom of the five doesn't connect to the top bar in Sam's writing.

When the grenades go off and Gordon goes to investigate, he finds Sam's right shoe lying on the ground. However, when Sam comes up behind him and attacks, his right shoe is on his foot.

When Sam unties Dean's right hand, and Dean unties his left hand, the ropes all but fall off, despite the fact that Dean was struggling against them a few minutes earlier.

After his fight with Gordon, Sam's face is cut and bruised. The marks disappear in the car when the brothers drive to Ava's house, but reappear when they arrive.

In Lafayette, Indiana, the police force is known as the Lafayette Police Department not the Lafayette Metro Police Department as used for this episode.

Sam: I just watch a lot of T.J. Hooker.

T.J. Hooker is a 1980s police series starring William Shatner.

Sam: Am I suppose to go Dark Side or something?!

Sam is making a reference to the Star Wars series of films.
