| It's getting hot in here.

Things heat up, quite literally, in this episode.
The series has slightly slowed down since its fast-paced pilot episode, but is still keeping the story flowing. With each episode, new pieces of the mysterious sea creature are reveled while older information is brought to light. I enjoy how this is done, as it leaves you guessing for just the right amount of time. Nothing is revealed too fast while nothing is held from the viewer for too long.
The opening shot of the episode was absolutely amazing and easily one of the best shot scenes of the series so far. It's done to terrify you as you now realize that the ocean is no longer the extent of the creatures reach.
I'm starting to feel for the characters more than ever. Laura has had such poor luck as her life is slowly follow in to a downward spiral. Rich is left nearly paralyzed with post dramatic stress, or so it appears, at the end of the episode. Meanwhile, Miles is making amazing discoveries with his pet Nimrod. There was a brilliant moment of clarity when Rich and Miles actually met in an Online chat room and began to discuss their encounters.
The series is still fresh and captivating as ever!
