After Steve throws accusations towards a mother of Courtney's school concerning the theft of his daughter's shoes, she retaliates by accusing him of not showing any interest in his kids. Meanwhile, Henry refuses to show his mom his SAT scores.

Steve is worried about the family's shrinking finances, as Anne tries to convince Henry of the importance of a college education.
9 :01x09 - Nothing For Money
Steve takes over the household duties after Anne takes a job outside the home, and is shocked at just how much work it really is. Meanwhile, Jenna is accused of stealing by Henry.
10 :01x10 - School Council
Courtney's teacher recommends to Steve and Anne that the use the "talking stick" method to discuss an altercation between their daughter and a neighbor's girl. While mediating, Steve wonders why adults need school teachers to help resolve family conflicts and unexpectedly learns something about his relationship with Henry.
11 :01x11 - Three End Tables
A delivery of an end table was mistakenly left at a neighbor's home, and Anne wants Steve to talk to them about it. Steve, hoping to avoid any confrontation, comes up with a plan to dupe Anne into believing he has retrieved the table. Meanwhile, Henry sends Courtney over to break up a date with Jenna, possibly jeopardizing their relationship.
12 :01x12 - Desperate Housewife

Anne is encouraged by Steve to break free of her manipulative parents after they revoke her cell phone privileges. Meanwhile, Henry believes Rhonda is preaching teen pregnancy to Courtney.
