127 :09x01 - They Came at Us With Spears (Sep/16/2004)
Eighteen new castaways, separated into two tribes of men vs. women, are stranded on the remote islands of Vanuatu in the South Pacific. After a shocking welcoming ceremony with a local tribe of Vanuatu, the nine men and nine women are sent their separate ways to search for their camps in the darkness of night. Upon first light, both tribes struggle to make fire and build shelter. Lopevi (the men's tribe) is shocked when Chad reveals that he is an amputee, having lost his right leg below the knee only 20 months earlier. Over at Yasur (the women's tribe), Eliza's constant chatter is wearing thin on some of the others while Twila's workaholic attitude is rubbing some of the women the wrong way. At their first challenge, immunity…and flint for fire are at stake.

Also, the first castaway is voted out of the tribe.

128 :09x02 - Burly Girls, Bowheads, Young Studs and the Old Bunch (Sep/23/2004)
Tribes are quickly dividing as the stress of their situation takes an early toll. As one tribe deals with very grim conditions, a castaway has a tearful meltdown after realizing the tribe's food is contaminated by maggots. When a wild chicken wanders into camp, the tribe is sent into a hunger-driven frenzy with their machete to catch the chicken. One survivor attempts to take advantage of tensions between two other tribe mates after they lose the Reward Challenge. At Tribal Council, two castaways who think they are the swing vote lead to an unpredictable Tribal Council.

And the second castaway is voted out of the tribe.
 
129 :09x03 - Double Tribal, Double Trouble (Sep/30/2004)
The castaways are shocked to learn that both tribes will lose a member at the next tribal council. When the tribes arrive at the challenge, Jeff Probst informs them that it is a combination reward/immunity challenge and that both tribes will attend separate tribal councils to evict one of their tribe mates. A couple of castaways are extra nervous to hear this, having just clashed at camp over differing work ethics and personalities. An additional twist to the challenge puts one castaway in a very influential position.

And, the third and fourth castaways are voted off of the island.
 
130 :09x04 - Now That's a Reward (Oct/07/2004)
The day after Tribal Council, the alliance of Lopevi elders were feeling good as the five older men had so far succeeded in systematically voting off the younger members. When the tribes convened for the Reward Challenge, Jeff explained that this would be a test of memory skills. Pairs of tam tams, shells, pig tusks, fish traps and other Vanuatu cultural items were hidden under an array of woven baskets. The Survivors must take turns finding matching pairs in the field of baskets. The first tribe to find five pairs wins the services of Dah, an authentic Vanuatu tribesman. For 24 hours he will teach the winning tribe everything they need to know about survival in Vanuatu, including the details of fishing, hunting and shelter. Morale was low at Lopevi as Travis Sampson, becomes achingly homesick. To add to their problems, the feud between alliance members Rory, and Sarge intensified.
 
131 :09x05 - Earthquakes and Shake Ups! (Oct/14/2004)
-- A major earthquake rocks the island, While the earthquake rattles the castaways' nerves, both tribes receive an unexpected visit from Vanuatu natives who come bearing a message with great consequences for all tribe members. A trip for one tribe proves cathartic and makes one castaway, in particular, very happy. At the Immunity Challenge, one castaway is caught by a fellow tribe member as they try to secretly communicate with a member of the opposing tribe.

And, the sixth member is voted out of the tribe.
 
132 :09x06 - Hog Tied (Oct/21/2004)
The tribes attempt to herd piglets at the Reward Challenge, A piglet-herding competition offers a feast for the winning tribe, but one tribe's chance of victory might be hurt by one person's fear of pigs. One castaway feels very vulnerable and gives an impassioned, persuasive speech with the hopes of breaking the tribe's existing alliances. Things are very relaxed at one camp…so much so that one castaway decides to do some nude sunbathing. Additionally, a walk to gather food forges a growing alliance. At Tribal Council, one castaway prays for a sign to guide the decision of their vote and, sure enough, a sign appears.

And, the seventh member is voted out of the tribe.
 
133 :09x07 - Anger, Threats, Tears...and Coffee (Oct/28/2004)
One castaway, in danger of being voted off, becomes invaluable at the immunity challenge,

Meantime, one tribe notices a slacker among the group, which prompts negative reactions from the others. After winning the hard-fought reward challenge, one tribe is treated to more than just sustenance. At tribal council, a potential target tries to convince the others why someone else should be the one to go.

And, the seventh member is voted out of the tribe.
 
134 :09x08 - Now the Battle Really Begins (Nov/04/2004)
Anxiety about a possible tribal merge leads one tribe member to make one-on-one pacts with numerous others, One castaway becomes fed-up with their tribe and is ready for a change. Meanwhile, another castaway uses the power of charm, flirtation, and cuddling in an attempt to get in good with a fellow tribemate. Two castaways engage into a war of words after one attempts to tell the other what to do.

And, the eighth member is voted out of the tribe.
 
135 :09x09 - Gender Wars ... And It's Getting Ugly (Nov/11/2004)
The castaways get more than they anticipated when tree mail arrives.
The added surprise at treemail leaves the castaways to ponder the mystery behind it. One group of castaways hatch a devilish plan to dupe their fellow tribemates. A severe hatred between two survivors leads to serious politicking to get the other voted off. One castaway’s guilt of aligning with a faction is exacerbated by comments from another castaway.

And, the ninth member is voted out of the tribe.
 
136 :09x10 - Culture Shock and Violent Storms (Nov/18/2004)
One castaway struggles to decide whether to stay with their existing alliance or join another. As the castaway contemplates which alliance to be a part of, a fellow tribe member capitalizes on their indecisiveness to work a plan. A very surreal reward drives one castaway to over-indulge and pay for it later. After a tumultuous night where one castaway struggles to keep the camp together, it is decided the most useless tribe member should be the next to go. Leading into Tribal Council, one tribe member makes a last-ditch effort to secure a power position by attempting to sway a fellow tribe mate. But, will the effort work?

And, the tenth member is voted out of the tribe.
 
137 :09x11 - Surprise! And...Surprise Again! (Nov/25/2004)
A castaway attempting to secure a final four position must face the fact that things may not always be as they seem. The survivors are surprised by an emotional reunion with their loved ones. But only one castaway is able to spend quality time with them. At the Immunity Challenge, the castaways are surprised when they are given special assistance for the competition. One castaway approaches a fellow tribemate with a plan for the upcoming Tribal Council vote. Caught off guard, though, the tribemate tries to divert the vote to another tribe member. How will the vote go down and who will leave Vanuatu?

And, the eleventh member is voted out of the tribe.
 
138 :09x12 - Now Who's in Charge Here?! (Dec/02/2004)
One castaway's in hot water for breaking a pact. The guilty castaway is accosted by a tribe mate for betraying their alliance. Meantime, the tribe is irritated by two castaways who show little desire to contribute to routine camp life. A suddenly powerless castaway attempts to sway an undecided tribe member as they head into a crucial Tribal Council.

And, the thirteenth member is voted out of the tribe.
 
139 :09x13 - Eruptions of a Volcanic Magnitude! (Dec/09/2004)
One castaway alienates themself and jeopardizes a position in the Final Four after a disturbing outburst. Meantime, tempers flare when one tribe member refuses to tell another the whereabouts of some buried provisions. Two survivors are caught talking strategy by a fellow tribe mate, which then erupts into an altercation that makes everyone realize all that is at stake. One tribe member, working both sides of a divided camp, makes conflicting promises going into Tribal Council. Which way will the tribe member vote? And, who will be the Final Four?

And, the fourteenth member is voted out of the tribe.
 
140 :09x14 - Spirits and the Final Four (Dec/12/2004)
As night 36 took hold, the four remaining Alinta tribe members took stock of their situation. Angry at some of the things said about her at Tribal Council, Eliza vented her frustration. Final Four converged for an Immunity Challenge that was the first-ever Survivor vertical maze. The Castaways must navigate through a huge, eight-level vertical maze. The challenge started in a flurry as all four tribemates hurried into the massive vertical labyrinth. It was a close competition as each Castaway collected their letter pairs.

The next day the remaining Alinta members were instructed to paddle across the way to Chief Roy Matta's resting place, where they would pay their respects to their fallen tribemates. The final Immunity Challenge was a test of endurance. The Survivors must stand on two small platforms; each must hold a bow and arrow and strike a warrior pose. Whoever falls off the platform or releases the arrow to pierce a paper marker is eliminated.

 
141 :09x15 - Reunion (Dec/12/2004)
After the final survivor is announced as the winner, the rest of the Survivor contestants join the winner to answer questions from the audience, the host and questions that were e-mailed in. They talked about scenes from the show that stood out, and talked about some things that happened but did not make it to the airing of a show. After watching the show with the rest of the world the contestants had some questions for each other as well.
