Season 1 |
| 1 :01x01 - The Marooning (May/31/2000) | | Sixteen plain Jane and average Joe Americans are marooned on the deserted island of Puala Tiga in the South China Sea for 39 days, where they must survive not only the island, but each other, as every three days, one person is voted off. The 16 are split in to two tribes of 8. Tagi consists of Dirk, Kelly, Richard, Rudy, Sean, Sonja, Stacey and Susan. Pagong consists of BB, Colleen, Gervase, Greg, Gretchen, Jenna, Joel and Ramoana. In the first 3 days, the tribes get to know each other, and while BB's domineering attitude annoys some of his tribemates, Richard also begins to get on the nerves of the Tagi camp as he attempts to lead them in a group direction. When Pagong won the first Immunity Challenge (a competition), Tagi had to go to Tribal Council, where they must vote someone off of the island. Despite Stacey's attempts to form a female alliance against 72-year-old Rudy, it was Sonja Christopher who was voted off of the island with 4 of the 8 votes. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |
| 2 :01x02 - The Generation Gap (Jun/07/2000) | | Pagong are growing weary of BB's bossy and domineering attitude, and as Greg and Colleen begin to get friendly, the crabby 60-something clashes with Ramoana and Joel. Meanwhile, at the Tagi camp, Stacey and Rudy's personality clashes are getting worse, but Rudy does have a fond admiration for gay islander Richard. Tagi works as a team and prevails in the second Immunity Challenge, where they must eat live bugs, mostly due to Stacey, who competed with Gervase in a tiebreaker round. BB's fate was sealed when he used the tribe's only supply of clean water to wash his clothes, and when it came to Tribal Council, BB Anderson was voted off of the island. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |
| 3 :01x03 - Quest For Food (Jun/14/2000) | | At Pagong, Greg and Colleen continue to grow closer as the younger tribe members begin to grow more accustom to their island home. Meanwhile, across the island at Tagi camp, Stacey's raw attitude continues to annoy the rest of her tribemates, especially the elder members. While both tribes are on the verge of running out of rice, Tagi wins a reward challenge, giving them fishing equipment., leaving Pagong's only hope to eat the island's selection of rats. At the immunity challenge, a last minute decision to switch a weak Jenna into an athletic part of the challenge could have proven detrimental, but Pagong pulls through in the end. At tribal council, Stacey tries to shake things up by trying to recruit some of the older members to vote off Rudy, but in the end, only Kelly stays loyal, and a surprised Stacey is voted off. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |
| 4 :01x04 - Too Little Too Late? (Jun/21/2000) | | Stacey's departure seems to have brought peace to Tagi, though Susan feels some people still could work harder. Across at Pagong, Ramona feels left out and Greg has developed an odd penchant for pretending to talk on the phone. Tagi runs a clean sweep, claiming a chest full of supplies in a "build the best distress signal" challenge, followed by a victory in a swimming/rowing/running/digging relay race challenge to win immunity. Even though Ramona made strides to fit in and work more, it's not enough to save her from being the 2nd person voted out of Pagong. | |
| |
| 5 :01x05 - Pulling Your Own Weight (Jun/28/2000) | | At Tagi, everyone begins to get annoyed by Dirk and Sean's inability to contribute anything worthwhile to the tribe, although the duo has been searching for tapioca and fishing. Pagong's accuracy drives the team to a victory, winning fruit and three live chickens. Joel & Gervase begin to have strong bond and others get interested when Greg & Colleen go off all the time together. At Immunity, Pagong wins, and at Tribal Council, Dirk recieves 4 votes, enough to send him packing. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |
| 6 :01x06 - Udder Revenge (Jul/05/2000) | | As Tagi and Pagong prepare to merge into one tribe, both teams are looking to the future, but not all of them will make it there. As Rudy finally agrees to join with Richard, Susan, and Kelly as the fourth member of the Tagi Alliance, the Pagong females are enraged when Gervase makes a nasty comment comparing girls to cows, and were even angrier at Joel for congratulating him on making the sexist remark. Also, as Pagong strategizes, Susan makes her decisions about who she wants to get rid of, and Gretchen shocks her tribemates with a surprising remark. Pagong wins the Reward Challenge, but are shocked to find the chickens they won in the last contest have been eaten by a lizard. To add to their sorrows, Pagong loses the final tribal Immunity Challenge, and are sent to Tribal Council, where Joel Klug, the 28-year-old travelling salesman from Arkansas, is voted off of the island. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |
| 7 :01x07 - The Merger (Jul/12/2000) | | Finally, the two tribes are set to merge into one. Jenna and Sean serve as ambassadors for their tribes, meeting at one another's camp to discuss where the new tribe should stay. At the end of their pow-wow, which includes dinner, a warm bed, and wine, the two finally decide on Tagi beach, naming the new tribe Rattana. Once merged, the Pagong members annoy Rudy, and the women attempt to fix things up around camp while the men relax. Greg wins the first-ever individual immunity challenge, and at the confusing tribal council, Gretchen becomes the victim of a strong Tagi alliance. The tribe has spoken. | |

Sean tells everyone his alphabet voting strategy, which Susan calls dumb. At the Reward Challenge the winner would recieve a video from home. Jenna breaks down when Jeff tells her they never received a video tape. Greg ends up winning the reward and watches a video from home. Richard realizes that Greg is a big threat. At Immunity, Gervase wins. At Tribal Council, Jenna recieves 3 votes while Greg receives 6 votes and is voted out and making him the 1st Jury Member.
| |
| 9 :01x09 - Old And New Bonds (Jul/26/2000) | | The former Pagong members finally realize that Tagi members Richard, Susan, Kelly, and Rudy have an alliance. Kelly becomes close with Jenna & Colleen, although she lies to them by telling them that there is no alliance. At the Reward Challenge, Colleen wins at a rope course and takes Jenna with her to a BBQ, because included with the food is a letter from home. As Jenna & Colleen eat, they decide to stick together and form an alliance, choosing to target Richard first. At the Immunity Competition, Rudy wins an event dealing with strategy. Jenna, who already knows that she will be receiving one vote at Tribal Council (from Sean's now-open alphabetical voting strategy), and sure enough, she becomes the second member of the jury when the Tagi alliance exploits Sean's voting scheme. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |

But his luck runs out there. He struggles with the Immunity Challenge and loses to Richard, whose alliance of four bands together to vote him out of the tribe. Before the vote, the relationship between Kelly and Susan reaches a tense boiling point, as the once-friends quickly turn to become each other's enemies. As Kelly's unwillingness to play the game "dirtily" emerges, the Tagi alliance begins to crack.
| |
| 11 :01x11 - Long Hard Days (Aug/09/2000) | | As the game of Survivor draws to its conclusion, the remaining six contestants fight it out for a place in the final four. The Tagi Alliance begins to crumble, as Rudy and Richard make plans to be in the final two, and Susan and Kelly's friendship begins to disintegrate. When Sean wins the Reward Challenge, he gets a night on a luxury cruise liner and meets up with his father. The Alliance is very divided, and at the time of the Immunity Challenge, where the six must stand on a plank in the sea for as long as possible, Richard, Susan and Rudy decided that either Sean or Kelly would be going home. When Kelly won Immunity, it seemed Sean was doomed to go home, but then the Alliance changed its mind, and with four votes, Colleen Haskell, the final member of the original Pagong tribe, was voted off of the island. The tribe has spoken. | |
| |
| 12 :01x12 - Death Of An Alliance (Aug/16/2000) | | It's day 34, and the five remaining Survivors are all members of the original Tagi tribe. The final Reward Challenge sees the Survivors make their way into the mud volcano, and when Kelly wins, she receives a trip to a bar with Jeff Probst and the chance to see the first five minutes of the first episode of Survivor. At the bar, Kelly admits, "The game's finally gotten weird." As Sean seems to come to realize that money is at stake, the contestants take part in the Immunity Challenge, which deals with island superstition and folklore, Kelly wins, once again screwing up Richard's strategy to get her out. When it comes to Tribal Council, Sean, the only member of Tagi not in the Alliance, is voted off of the island, sending Richard, Kelly, Susan and Rudy in to the final four. Who will win? | |
| |
| 13 :01x13 - The Final Four (Aug/23/2000) | | We're down to the Final Four - Richard, Kelly, Rudy and Susan, the original Tagi alliance. With alliances being formed and broken at a rapid rate, friendships crumble, and when Kelly wins Immunity at the first challenge, Susan is voted off of the island (following a tie vote between her and Richard). Then, the three remaining Survivors are forced to take a ceremonious walk past the extinguished torches of their old tribemates, and take part in an endurance challenge that pushes them to their limit. Kelly wins Immunity for the second time in only a few days, and, with the sole vote cast at Tribal Council, votes Rudy off of the island, propelling herself and Richard into the final two. Following an emotional final Tribal Council, in which the two Survivors make their opening and closing speeches, and are interrogated by each member of the Jury, the seven former members of Ratanna cast their votes for who they want to win. In the end, it comes down to a 3-3 vote between the pair. Greg casts the deciding vote, and with a 4-3 majority, Richard Hatch, the 39-year-old Corporate Trainer from Rhode Island, wins Survivor, and walks away with $1million. | |

In the first 3 days in the Outback, Debb begins to get on the nerves of her fellow islanders with her attempts to take control, while Kimmi's over-eagerness to have fun grabs Jeff the wrong way, and Keith and Jerri clash almost immediately. When Ogakor wins the first Immunity Challenge, Kucha makes the long hike to Tribal Council where, with a 7-1 unanimous vote, Debb is voted out of the Outback. The tribe has spoken.
| |
| 16 :02x02 - Suspicion (Feb/01/2001) | | By Day 4, the seperation from food really starts to take a toll on some of the contestants. No food is offered at the Reward Challenge, where Rodger faces his fears and jumps off a cliff only to have his tribe lose, but everyone is bound to get some nutrition with the Immunity Challenge. Unfortunatley, the food supplied - cow brains, beetles, and worms - isn't what the castaways are hoping for, and Tina can't stomach it, giving Kucha, led by vegetarian Kimmi, Immunity from Tribal Council, which is exactly where Ogakor is forced to go. At the vote, Jerri's suspicions that Kel has been eating a secret stash of beef jerky seems to be enough to get him kicked off, as Kel becomes the second Outback competitor to get his torch snuffed. | |
| |
| 17 :02x03 - Trust No One (Feb/08/2001) | | Mike becomes obsessed in hunting for a pig for his tribe but Jeff thinks that Mike's an idiot. At the Reward Challenge, Ogakor won by wining Fish Bait. Rodger finds a heart shaped stone and gives it to Elisabeth so she can give it to her boyfriend back home. Jeff & Alicia make an alliance and add that Nick should not feel safe and that he's way too confident. Back at Ogakor, Jerri & Colby continue to get closer when Jerri spends the day massaging Colby's back. Keith becomes suspicious by there attraction and says he would vote out Colby. At Immunity, Maralyn keeps falling down which helps Kucha wins there 2nd straight Immunity. Keith asked Tina & Colby to vote with him to vote out Mitchell. At Tribal Council, Mitchell recieves 1 vote, Jerri recieves 1 vote, and Maralyn recieves 5 votes and is voted out. | |
| |

A forest fire is creeping closer to Ogakor camp as the survivors get worried. Tina admited to both Colby & Mitchell that she feels Jerri is bossy. Kimmi gets mad when everyone expresses they want some meat. Mike feels threatened by the chickens admiting that his role in the camp is gone. Jerri joins Colby in his pig hunting to try and win his alligence. Mike finally catches a pig and everyone enjoy's a great lunch. At Immunity, Kucha pulls off another victory. Jerri talks with Amber and tells her the importence in getting Colby back on their side. At Kucha camp, Kimmi becomes more and more depressed because no one respects that she's a vegetarian. She and Alicia get into a fight over the chickens and begin shouting. Later, Kucha wins the reward challenge, getting soaps and shampoos, and the other tribe members bathe a reluctant Kimmi in the dirty river water. At the Immunity Challenge, Ogakor breaks their losing streak, sending Kucha to Tribal Council, where Kimmi recieves 6 votes and is voted out of the game. The tribe has spoken.
| |
| 20 :02x06 - Trial By Fire (Mar/01/2001) | | Things seem to be looking up for Kucha - their winning streak looks to be restarting, as they steal the Reward Challenge from right under Ogakor's noses, and they create a new kind of food: Kucha corn, made by heating up chicken feed. But the same fire that cheers the Kucha tribe up turns suddenly volatile when tribe "leader" Michael passes out from smoke inhalation, and falls face-first into the camp fire. Mike is flown away to a hospital via helicopter, leaving his tribemates behind. Meanwhile, the Ogakor tribe, given the bittersweet gift of Mike's elimination, worry about what has happened when they receive treemail announcing the accident. Next week the tribes will merge on equal ground - who will come out prosperous? | |
| |
| 21 :02x07 - The Merge (Mar/08/2001) | | Kucha and Ogakor receive tree mail at their camps - the tribes are merging, and as a pre-merge twist, the women are all meeting together at Ogakor camp and the men are all converging at Kucha camp. With everyone ready to move full-time into the Kucha territory, all are surprised to learn that they will be living in a new section of the Outback, and that they will have to create a new shelter, and adapt to their new surroundings. Despite some merging festivities, where the castaways become Barramundi and receive a big picnic basket full of elaborate platters, the tribal lines run deep as former tribemates strategize the best way to pick off each member of the opposing tribe. The Immunity challenge lures Keith into a strong sense of safety when he withstands an endurance competition longer than anyone else, who all settle for temptations. At Tribal Council, it comes down to a nail-biting tie between Jeff and Colby - but Jeff, who has already received at least one vote in a previous tribal council, is sent home, just missing a spot on the jury. | |
| |
| 22 :02x08 - Friends? (Mar/14/2001) | | Desperate to keep her tribe alive, Elisabeth begins to think that she can possibly lure Tina to vote for Jerri, the perfect person to target, because of her annoyance-level at camp. At the Reward Challenge, everyone gets some time off from Jerri and her pocket pet when Jerri wins a boomerang throw and decides to take Amber with her for a feast. Later, Jerri and Amber share their suspicions that Keith and Tina may be thinking about going against the former Ogakor members, and at the Immunity Challenge, Jerri loses her chance to vote out Keith when he wins Immunity for the second time in a row. At Tribal Council, Elisabeth's plan to get rid of Jerri fails to work when one of her own comrades, Alicia, is voted out of the Barramundi Tribe. | |

| 25 :02x11 - Let's Make a Deal (Apr/05/2001) | | As the days grow longer and the temperature increases, the energy-less Barramundi Tribe quickly shifts into survival mode, trying to find a way to get food, since they only have one cup of rice left. At the Reward Challenge, everyone is treated to some food during a Survivor Acution, but it doesn't last long, and it does not give the tribe energy enough to sustain themselves. It's obvious how tired the players are during the strenuos Immunity Challenge, which Colby wins, and later, Jeff Probst makes a deal with the castaways to trade all of their tarps for more rice to last the final thirteen days in the Outback. The survivors make the trade, but how will they cope without shelter? The issue is put on the back burner as the Ogakor alliance votes off Nick, making him the third member of the jury. | |
| |
| 26 :02x12 - No Longer Just A Game (Apr/12/2001) | | The remaining 6 survivors compete in a reward challenge which see's Colby wining yet again. Rodger worried when he can't find the tin of rice. Tina & Keith hiked down the river to find the rice and swam in the currenty water to retrieve the tin of rice. Colby woke up and had eggs, and bacon as part of his reward. Colby was shocked when he returned to camp to find it destroyed by the flood. The survivors worked together to re-build their shelter. At the immunity challenge Colby yet again won. At Tribal Council, Rodger recieved 2 votes while Amber recieved 4 votes and became the 4th Jury Member. | |
| |
| 27 :02x13 - Enough Is Enough (Apr/19/2001) | | The remaining 5 survivors: Colby, Tina, Elisabeth, Rodger & Keith were begining to get homesick. Tina explained how she missed her husband and her children. Elisabeth stated that she missed her mother. The survivors at the reward challenge got to email their loved ones. Keith suprised his girlfriend by proposing to her; she said yes. Tina's husband won the challenge and got to talk to Tina for awhile. The survivors decided to play a friendly game of frisbie. Keith & Colby got into a huge fight over rice proportions. At Immunity, Colby yet again won. At Tribal Council, Keith recieves 2 votes while Rodger recieves 3 and becomes the 5th Jury Member. | |
| |
| 28 :02x14 - The Final Four (Apr/26/2001) | | It's day 37 in the Outback, and only four contestants remain. With Rodger gone, Elisabeth is the only member of the original Kucha tribe remaining, and is pulling out all the stops to get herself in to the final two, as she believes she will win if she makes it that far. The Reward Challenge consisted of many elements of previous challenges, and ended with Colby winning a car and a visit from his mother. The Survivors learned that, between them, they had lost 85 pounds during the last five weeks, and when Colby wins the Immunity Challenge as well, he must make a difficult decision as he contemplates voting off Keith, "the least deserving." As the contestants receive care packages from home, one of them is going home and, with a unanimous 3-1 vote at Tribal Council, Elisabeth Filarkski, the last remaining Kuchan, was voted out of Barramundi. Only Colby, Keith and Tina remain. Who will win? | |
| |
| 29 :02x15 - The Most Deserving (May/03/2001) | | It's the last three days in the Outback, and only Keith, Tina and Colby remain. They are set a challenge to carve totem poles to "give back to the land," causing Colby to enter a reflective mood. On the penultimate day, they tossed their totem poles in to a waterfall as an act of respect and then took part in their final Immunity Challenge, a question-and-answer round about their departed tribemates. Colby won Immunity, and cast the single vote that got rid of Keith, and placed him and Tina in the final two. After they dismantled camp and looked down on the Outback from the highest peak they could find, the final two Survivors headed to their final Tribal Council, where after their speeches and quizzing from seven former members of Barramundi, the Jury cast their votes. We then cut to a live show from Los Angeles, where host Jeff Probst revealed the results of the Jury vote live. In a 4-3 vote, Tina Wesson, the 40-year-old Nurse from Knoxville, Tennessee, walked away with $1million and the title of Ultimate Survivor. | |

Kim J stated that her fall could get her voted out. Jessie continues to get sicker and admits how hard it's to drink water. At Samburu the tribe became split; of younger people (Brandon, KimP, Lindsey) and the elders (Carl, Frank, Linda, Teresa) with Silas as the key for both sides. The talk seems to work, as Samburu pulls through with another victory, this time a bundle of spices and flavorings. At the Immunity Challenge, Boran's determination not to lose another team member works their hardest, and they overcome the odds, sending Samburu to Tribal Council, where the older members disregard the younger members' request to vote for Lindsey, and sure enough, the generation gap prevails, this time making Linda the victim of the vote.

On the penultimate day, the final three Survivors met local tribes and then competed in an endurance marathon of a final Immunity Challenge, which ended with Kim winning once again. Placing the only vote at Tribal Council, she expelled Lex Van Den Berghe from the competition. Kim and Ethan were the final two, and after reflecting on their time in the competition and dismantling camp, they headed to the final Tribal Council, where the Jury of Kelly, Brandon, Frank, Kim P, Teresa, Tom and Lex returned to pass judgement. Jeff Probst then revealed the votes to the nine former members of Moto Maji.
