Turf Wars - Recap

With Jimmy T. gone from last episode only Brenda, Benry, Alina, Chase, Jud, Naonka, Kelly S., Kelly B., Sash, Jill, Jane, Tyrone, Marty, Yve, Dan, Holly remain. During Night 11, Espada are reflecting on the Tribal council and Holly, Jane and Jill talk about how Danny should have been voted off the island and not Jimmy T. They form another tight alliance amongst themselves.

Day 12

At the Espada tribe, Marty tells that he is in control of the tribe now and Dan and Marty talk about the fact that there are members that are going to have to go before they go and that they are going to have to work together to do that. Meanwhile at La Flor, Naonka tells that she is happy where she is and that she has her 5 members of her alliance with her on her belt. She tells that she is clean, dry, and happy with what she has.

The older tribe and younger tribe meet up and that they are told that they are going to draw up for new Captains. Each take a stone from the bag and Brenda and Holly are chosen captains. They are going to be able to pick members to form new tribes. Older and Younger tribe are out and it is simply La Flor and Espada. Jane, Jill and Marty move to La Flor and Alina, Benry, Chase, and Naonka move over to Espada tribe. The Medallion of Power is no longer available and it is La Flor vs. Espada.

They perform their first challenge as a team and it will be a ball toss to have two people to catch it on the bottom. The first to score three points will get two chickens and one rooster for their camp. The challenge begins and Espada scores the first point, La Flor scores the second, and Espada scores the third point. Espada has the lead and they could win the challenge, but La Flor ties it up by scoring again. The winner of the final point goes to Espada and they win the reward. La Flor gets nothing and have to return to their tribes.

Espada goes back to camp with their reward and Tyrone automatically puts himself into the position of a leadership and starts bossing people around. The younger members, who have had it pretty comfortable at their camp, don’t like this. Holly decides to make alliances with Alaina and Naonka and they all become friends. Meanwhile at La Flor, Fabio says that it looks good for them. Jane makes an alliance with the younger members of the tribe and tells that Marty and Jill are not to be trusted. Marty is a little shocked of the whole switch and hears about the fight that Naonka had with Kelly B. over the immunity idol. He tells that they should have ended that and knocked her out of the game. He shows them all he has the hidden immunity idol and that he wanted to let people know about it. But this makes Brenda upset and want to vote him out.

Day 13

At Espada, the rain comes upon the island and it dampens the spirit of everyone, including Naonka especially who complains that she is cold and that she wants to give up. Alina comes over and tells that is the worst mistake she could make, but behind her back, Alina tells that Naonka is like a high school student and it seems that she is on her period constantly. She tells that she needs to get over it. Chase comes over and says something about Rainbows and his dead father. He tells that the storm will settle and for her not to give up so easily. Later that night, Naonka is trying to hide from the rain and tells that she is wanting to go home now.

Day 14

Challenge time for immunity and the newly formed Espada and La Flor tribes come up and for today’s challenge. They are going to be able to have three members on wheel and three members turning the wheel. The ones on the wheel are going to be submerged underwater and when they come up, they are going to have to spit the water into a funnel to full up a tube with a ball. Then they are going to have to have two people try to bust tiles with the balls. The winner gets the immunity. The challenge begins and the Espada team’s strategy works and they release their ball first. La Flor tribe follows closely behind and releases theirs. They go to bust the tiles and it is Benry and Tyrone for Espada and Jane and Fabio for La Flor. The race is close, but Fabio wins it for La Flor and nobody is going home on their team.

At Espada, they all want to do is the chicken because of their loss. Tyrone is against them eating the chicken because it slows down their egg production. Benry tells that it is only one egg a day and Tyrone sticks to his word. They vote and everyone wants to kill the chicken. Chase gets the chicken and kills it. Holly helps pluck it and everyone pitches in, all except Tyrone. However, when it is ready to eat, Tyrone is there. He tells that he’ll eat it if everyone else is doing it. The tribe talks and tells that Tyrone took a lot of the chicken and that he did none of the work. It is very clear what is going to happen at tribal council this evening.

At tribal council, they all talk about the different things that they did and Alina tells that there were some “Turf Wars” and that Tyrone laid down the law about everything and it was not good. Tyrone tells that it was to show that he is a leader and that there are many things going on. It is voting time and Tyrone votes out Naonka. Benry votes out Tyrone. The votes are tallied and the person voted out of Survivor is Tyrone.
