You're Looking at the New Leader of your Tribe - Recap

For the Ometepa tribe: Ashley, Grant, Kristina, Phillip, Natalie, Matthew, Francesca, and Andrea. For the Zapatera tribe: Mike, Stephanie, Ralph, Julie, Krista, Steve, Sarita, and David. Redemption Island Survivor contestants arrive. Mike is an ex-soldier and he tells that he is trained for this. Jeff tells that two more players are going to be joining them. Russell and Boston Rob from years before. They have experience. Rob is with Ometepa and Russell joins Zepetera. Jeff tells that if they are voted off, they are going to Redemption Island. There they are going to have to survive on their own when they have someone else, they have to battle it out. The winner goes back to the game and the loser goes home.

Day 1

Zapatera tribe makes their way to camp and Russell is happy to be there and Russell takes the leadership and tells that they are going to face a lot. David tells that he doesn’t trust Russell and Mike tells that they have a lot of workers on their tribe. Ralph takes charge of the building of the shelter and tells that he knows a lot about building shelters and work hard. Meanwhile on the Ometepe tribe, they build their shelter too and Matt tells that they are harmony and Natalie tells that she is happy that Boston Rob is there and not Russell. Phillip gets the label right away and Andrea tells that she knows how to hammer and will allow him to play the father figure. He reveals that he is Former Federal Agent and that he takes the lead. Kristina starts to try to find the hidden immunity and Rob sees what she is doing.

Kristina decides to make an Alliance with Phillip because he seems like he is a type of person that likes to take control, but she really doesn’t think that he is good for the competition. Back at Zapatera, Stephanie and Russell make a mini-alliance and Mike and David see that Russell has his claws in her. They tell that they can’t let Russell do that because they are going to have to make sure that he goes immediately and not drag the tribe down.

Day 3

At the Ometepe tribe, Kristina tells that she really doesn’t trust Boston Rob because he is going after the younger girls. She goes hunting and finds the hidden immunity idol. She hides it and Phillip talks to Francesca about the fact that Boston Rob is a big threat for the fact that he knows the game and will take people down one at a time until he wins. Kristina comes over and tells that she is going for Boston Rob at the get-go. Phillip tries to tell that he is a former Federal Agent and that they have to analyze everything. They try to talk to him and tries to take charge of the conversation and Francesca is not happy with Phillip.

Immunity Challenge Time and both tribes come up. Jeff tells that they are going to have to push blocks to form stairs and then they are going to have to cut ropes to form a second set of stairs and then put together the puzzle on top. Right off, Zapetera pushes ahead because they have the stronger people on the tribe. Ometepe fall far behind and then eventually catch up. Boston Rob is the puzzle master so it would seem that it would be easy on top. They get close, but it is Zapetera who wins the immunity and the flint to make fire quicker.

Ometepe walk back to camp and Ashley tells that they let Rob down. Kristina finds solace in Francesca and reveals that she has the hidden immunity idol. Francesca tells that they are going to have to rethink their strategy and not vote Boston Rob out because he is an asset to the tribe. They agree tentatively that Natalie is the weak one in the tribe and that she should be the one to go out. Kristina walks over and tries to see what Boston Rob is doing, but they are silent to who they are going to vote out. This makes Kristina uneasy. Meanwhile, Boston Rob tells his alliance of the young girls and Matthew that they’re going to vote out Francesca because she has thought Boston Rob as a schemer from the beginning. Kristina talks to Phillip and he tells that he has analyzed things and Kristina shows that she has the hidden immunity idol.

Tribal Council Time and Ometepe tribe sit down. Jeff asks how things went from the beginning and asks Phillip if he has taken the leadership role. Phillip tells that he is only trying to help everyone and Kristina tells that he tried and came off as arrogant. Francesca tries to interrupt Phillip and Phillip takes the defensive and outs that Francesca and Kristina had the plan to vote out Boston Rob out. Kristina and Francesca back peddle and try to tell that it is not accurate. Phillip also reveals that Kristina has the hidden immunity idol. She shows it and Boston Rob tells her to give it to him and she won’t go home. She denies the request and keeps it. Boston Rob tells that they are going to stick to the original plan. The voting begins and it is 3 votes for Kristina, 3 votes for Francesca, and 2 votes for Phillip. The first survivor going to Redemption Island is Francesca. The good news is that flint will be at their camp.
