You Own My Vote - Recap

With Francesca voted to Redemption Island, for the Ometepa tribe: Ashley, Grant, Kristina, Phillip, Natalie, Matthew, Boston Rob, and Andrea. For the Zapatera tribe: Mike, Stephanie, Ralph, Julie, Krista, Steve, Sarita, David, and Russell remain on the island. On the night of Day 3 on Redemption Island, Francesca tells that she is not going to sleep tonight. She wasn’t expecting that she was going to be voted off, but feels that it is going to be a good thing for her. Meanwhile on the Ometepe tribe on Night 3, Philip tells Boston Rob that he is with him until the end. However, Boston Rob doesn’t believe him and he tells his team that they are going to vote for Phillip.

Day 4

At the Ometepe tribe, Philip tries to hunt crabs and the younger tribe members are teasing him about it. Philip gets emotional and starts to talk about serving his country. He manages to catch one after throwing a rock at one and stunning it. Meanwhile at Zapartera, Ralph wakes everyone up with a rooster call and Russell thinks that Ralph is the dumbest player and person in the world. Russell has an alliance with Stephanie and needs to get Krista too. Russell is looking for the hidden immunity idol and tells Krista to start looking as well. However, it is Ralph, who was just picking up rocks, who found the immunity idol. He gloats about it and hides it away.

Day 5

Matt talks with Andrea and they seem to hit it off and start to form their own alliance. He tells that they need visit each other. Boston Rob sees this and tells that a pair is very strong. Such of an example was him and Amber. Boston Rob talks to Natalie and tells that Matt and Andrea are a pair and tells that they are going to vote out Andrea or Phillip.

Immunity Challenge Time and the Zapatera team tell that they are going to win their immunity back. Jeff asks Philip how it makes him feel about hearing that. Philip tells that it brings the animal out in him. He tells that he will outlast any man on Zapatera. The girls, are a different story. The task is that they are going to have to climb to the top, smash a tile and retrieve a key. After they unlock the chest to get a ball, they need to smash 5 tiles. There is an extra reward. Fishing gear is the extra reward along with the immunity for tonight. The game begins and it looks like Ometepe is going to win this, but Zapatera wins the reward and immunity. Matt walks over and congratulates Zapatera and Boston Rob sees this.

Zapatera get back to camp and Russell is holding the reward basket of fishing gear and sees a clue to the idol. He grabs it and puts it in his pocket. Ralph sees this. He tells his other fellow teammates and they tell that from now on, they take the reward. Sarita walks over to Mike and tells about Russell having the clue in his pocket. Russell, Krista and Stephanie walk off to the watering hole and Russell reveals the clue. They hide it away when Mike comes up. Russell tells that Sarita was horrible in the challenge. Ralph comes over and tells that they all won the challenge and they all should see the clue. Russell lies and tells that he doesn’t have any clue. However, Ralph knows. Ralph tells that he knows how the game is played too and Russell better not be lying. Russell is shocked and gets under his skin.

On Redemption Island, Francesca gets her first luxury item and it is a journal. She tells that she doesn’t know what is going to happen and hopes that they are not going to have to live together for a while. At the Ometepe tribe, Philip talks and tells that he is sorry that he didn’t perform the best and tells that the other teammates gallantry and tells that he won’t be running around and will leave it to the tribe to see what is best for the tribe. Boston Rob goes up to Phillip and tells that they win as a team and lose as a team. However, it is Matt who Boston Rob has his eye on because Matt is trying to play the good Christian game. Kristina puts the immunity idol around her neck and asks if Philip is scared. He tells whatever happens, happens. Boston Rob, Ashley and Grant talk about votes and he tells that 4 of them vote for Matt and split the votes. He tells that he wanted to keep the team strong, but Matt screwed up. They tell in front of Andrea and Matt that Philip and Kristina. However, four people are voting for Matt. He tells Philip that he will put his hand on the shoulder of the person for him to vote on because he really doesn’t trust him.

Tribal Council Time and the Ometepe tribe sit down. Jeff sees that Kristina has the idol around her neck and she has a feeling that she will play the idol tonight. Philip shows off his Gorilla and Lion tattoos and tells that he comes off as cocky and he tells that he lost and he has to suffer. Boston Rob tells that Philip is a competitor. Matt tells that Philip is a huge asset and tells that in a game, you can’t vote out because of one mistake. Philip tells that he doesn’t care because he is going to meet his nemesis, Francesca. They all laugh and Philip has payback. Matt tells that everyone is asking questions about Redemption Island and tells that it is Survivor. The voting begins. The foursome sticks to their plan of Matt. Kristina uses her idol and the votes don’t count for her. The votes are tallied. The votes 2 votes Philip and 3 votes Matt. Second person to be voted to Redemption Island is Matt. He is shocked and goes out into the darkness.
