A Mystery Package - Recap

With David going home from Redemption Island and Julie taking his place with Mike and Matt, Ashley, Grant, Phillip, Natalie, Rob, Andrea, Ralph, Krista, and Steve remain on the island to battle it out. Night 27 at the Murlonio tribe, Steve goes up to Philip and says that no one needs to give an apology to the other and they settle their differences. However, Philip doesn’t take it as sincere. Steve tells that it was an interesting blindside. Steve tells that he could try to get Philip voted off.

Day 28

At the Murlonio tribe, Steve and Ralph are the last of the old Zapatera tribe and they talk about how crazy Philip is with his meditations. Philip says that he had a vision that he would find his shorts of his Great Grandfather. Philip finds his shorts after looking under two rocks. He comes back and gloats that he found them with no clue at all. Meanwhile on Redemption Island, Julie is up and preparing the fire. Matt walks off and Mike tells Julie that Matt is defeated and looks like he is tired of the game. Matt tells that he will stay as long as God wants him to be there and cries and says that he is done with the game.

Duel Time on Redemption Island and Matt, Mike and Julie come out to face their challenge. They are going to play shuffle board. First two to win get to stay alive in competition. The game begins and first to win is Matt. Jeff says that God is not done talking to Matt and he stays alive in the competition. Mike stays alive in the competition as well and Julie is the next on the Julie. Jeff asks why she entered the competition in the first place and she tells that her house may be in foreclosure like everyone in America, but says that her kids are proud of her and that is all she can ask.

Murlonio tribe gets back and Andrea feels bad that they voted off Matt to begin with and talks to Ashley and Natalie about it. Ralph takes Grant to the side and tells that Andrea is starting to be friendly with the old Zapatera tribe and that she can’t be trusted. Grant agrees and says that they should vote her off before Steve an Ralph.

Day 30

Immunity Challenge time and they have a log roll to try to stay on. Jeff tells that they are also playing for a chocolate cake and ice cold milk. First match is Grant and Rob and Grant wins. Next is Andrea and Ashley and Ashley wins. Next is Ralph and Steve and Ralph wins. Next is Natalie Philip and Philip wins. Next round and it is Grant and Ashley and Grant moves on to finals. Next is Ralph and Philip and Ralph moves to the final. It is Grant and Ralph and Grant wins immunity and chocolate cake. He chooses Rob of course to join him and also picks Andrea. Jeff hands Steve a mystery package and says that it is a twist for the tribe when they come to tribal council.

They get back to camp and Steve has a mystery package and starts to guess what it is. Steve tells that Ashley, Andrea and Natalie should go with him and Ralph on voting Rob out because he is going to vote them off right away so that Philip and him are in the finals. They tell that they will think about it. Right away they go to Rob and tell him about the plan that Steve has. Rob starts to rethink his choice for voting Andrea out and thinks that it is best to vote out Steve and if the twist is that they have to vote off another, it will be Ralph.

Tribal council Time and David and Julie come to sit and watch. Ralph tells that he is probably going to be voted off because he is a tough contender. Steve plays it off that he is not a threat and the voting begins. The votes are tallied and there are 2 votes for Rob and 4 votes for Ralph. Twelfth person voted out is Ralph. Now for the twist, and it is cards. They have one more challenge for immunity and then they are going to have to vote out one more tribe member. They get a stack of cards and they have to repeat the symbols that Jeff shows. After Philip, Natalie, Grant and Andrea lose; it is up to Ashley, Rob and Steve who are left. Rob wins the immunity. They vote again and they tally up the votes. The votes are Grant with 1 vote and 3 votes for Steve. Thirteenth person voted off is Steve. With the original Ometepe tribe back to their six, it is time to back-stab.
