You Mangled My Nets - Recap

With Ralph and Steve gone to Redemption Island to join Mike and Matt, Ashley, Grant, Phillip, Natalie, Rob, and Andrea are left on the main island to battle it out for the top spot. On Night 30, Ralph goes to camp to meet with Mike and Matt and says that Steve is running out of steam. Steve walks up to the camp and they are shocked to see him. Meanwhile on the Murlonio tribe, they are excited to be together because they can get to the game. Natalie starts to cry and Andrea comforts her. Everyone tells her that it is hard out there and that everything will work out.

Day 31

On the Murolino tribe, Ashley and Andrea open tree mail and find a box with the word “Sprint” on it. They open it with the rest and it is a cell phone with a message about the duel. As a special bonus, they watch videos of their family. Natalie’s mom tells that she loves her, Andrea’s dad says hello and that he is proud of her, Phillip’s sister says hello, Rob’s sister says that Rob is doing a great thing. Grant’s brother in law says that his sister is having another baby and Ashley’s mom tells her that she loves her. Meanwhile on Redemption Island, they get tree mail and they get to see the videos of their family and friends. Ralph’s friend says that they are taking care of the farm, Mike’s mom says that she loves him, Steve’s brother says hello and Matt’s brother says that he is proud of him.

Duel time and Matt, Mike, Ralph and Steve come up and Jeff takes the phones back. The winner of the duel will be able to spend time with their loved ones. The game begins and they have to break tiles. First three to break tiles stay alive, but first one gets to spend time with their loved one. Mike wins the duel and wins time with his mom. Also staying alive is Matt and Ralph. Steve becomes the next member of the jury. Jeff tells that Mike gets to have some time with his mother or give it up to Matt and Ralph or give the remaining six in the competition time with their family. Mike chooses wisely and gives the six the time with their families and friends.

Later on Redemption Island, Ralph says that Mike did a stupid move and should have gone off with his mother. However, Matt sees the point in all of it and says that he was glad that he didn’t have to make the choice. Meanwhile at the Murolino tribe, everyone shows off what they have been doing on the island and Ralph and his sister are talking strategy rather than what he is doing on the island. Rob gets emotional and says that he is going to win survivor and nothing is going to stop him.

Day 32

The tribe members get the tree mail and it is about another immunity challenge. They are going to have to race to finish a puzzle staircase. The game begins and Andrea finishes her first set first while Natalie and Philip don’t have a clue. Andrea gets the lead with Grant. Rob and Grant and move on to the third. It is up to Andrea and Rob. It is Rob who wins the immunity. After the challenge, Rob’s legs don’t want to move and he has a moment of lack of energy. He regains his energy and gets the immunity from Jeff.

The get back to camp and it is raining. They congratulate Rob and Rob says that they have to vote off someone and he tells the tribe that they are voting for Andrea. Ashley says that it is going to be a shock to her, but she has to go. Later, Philip starts to be the same Philip and starts to drive people crazy. Philip says that he is not concerned because everyone feels that their best way of winning is to bring him because he is shown not as a threat. He says that Rob is certain that he is going to win and Philip says that he can defeat Rob because he has something that will make everyone not vote for him. Rob is thinking that he might vote out Philip because he doesn’t trust that he is completely crazy.

Tribal Council time and Jeff asks Andrea if she is scared of going home because of the fact that she is really good in challenges. She says that she is loyal and that is all there is. Jeff asks the same of Philip and Philip says that he knows that he is safe because he is not a threat, but Philip also says that he hasn’t done good in the challenges because he hasn’t gotten the right challenge. Everyone looks annoyed with Philip and they vote. The votes are tallied. The votes are: Philip with 1 vote and Andrea with 3. Next person voted to Redemption Island is Andrea. She walks away saying “Tricky, tricky.” The episode ends.
