Too Close for Comfort - Recap

With Andrea voted off to join Matt, Mike and Ralph on Redemption Island, only Grant, Phillip, Rob, Ashley, and Natalie are in the competition still. On Night 32 at the Murlonio tribe, Natalie and Ashley feel don’t feel bad blindsiding Andrea because they were never close with her at all. Ashley says that her and Natalie are going to stick together until the end. However, Natalie is still partial to Rob and goes and tells him the news. He says that they need to get her out. Meanwhile on Redemption Island, Andrea comes in and Matt is not looking at her. She apologizes to Matt for voting for him and tries to make nice. When she asks if there is room for her on the bed, Ralph tells her to sleep on the ground.

Day 33

The duel is underway and Andrea cries about the betrayal. They start the challenge and the goal is the first three to make it through a maze and solve the puzzle, stay alive in the game. Ralph makes it through the maze first to start his puzzle. Andrea has problems with the maze. Everyone eventually gets the puzzle started and the lead that Ralph had is dwindling. They all try to solve the puzzle and it is Mike who is first, Matt is second and Andrea is third. Ralph leaves the competition and becomes the next member of the jury.

Day 34

The next day at the Murlonio Tribe, they are having a rice issue because the Zapatera tribe ate a lot of the rice. Philip tells the girls that they don’t need to eat as much rice as the men and that they can live off a certain number of calories a day. Rob tells Philip to calm down and is upset that now he has brought Ashley and Natalie closer now instead of tearing them apart. Rob goes up to Natalie and tells her to keep Ashley happy and she tells that they are going after her and Rob lies and says that Grant wants to get her out. Ashley really doesn’t trust Rob anymore and want to get rid of a strong competitor. Ashley says that if they vote Grant out, then he will be wining Redemption Island and they only have to vote him out. Rob tells Grant the news and she calls her a snake. Rob says that they have to win every challenge.

Day 35

Philip, Grant and Rob find chopsticks in the tree mail and Rob says that Ashley is going to have to go. They read the tree mail and they don’t know what the chopsticks have anything to do with. Ashley is paranoid that if Grant wins immunity, then she is sure that she is going home.

Immunity challenge time and this time they have to use fish hooks to get puzzle pieces and make a fish puzzle. They are also playing for a reward where they will have a meal brought to them. With one arm behind their back, it makes it harder. Grant finishes his first section done and as the game goes through, it is Ashley who wins the immunity. She picks Natalie to share in the reward.

They get back to camp and Rob is upset that his plans are changed and he doesn’t want to, but has to vote out Grant. Rob talks to Ashley and Natalie and says that he has to do the dirty work to tell Philip that he has to convince that they are voting for Natalie. He sits down with Grant and says that they have to vote for Natalie and lies that he is with him all the way. Grant fells that it is Natalie. Ashley and Natalie’s food arrives and they have pizza, rigatoni, and other food. They eat and get really full. Rob talks to Natalie again and she says that Ashley is still on her side. Rob doesn’t like to have all the power, but he has to.

Tribal Council Time and they get into their spots and the jury comes up. The tribe talk and Grant says that everyone is nervous of going home because he is a big threat along with others. Rob lies and says that he feels scared of going home since he doesn’t have the immunity idol around his neck. The voting begins and then the votes are tallied: Natalie with 1 vote and Grant with 3. Next person voted off to Redemption Island is Grant. He walks off feeling betrayed. Season Finale is next week! Who will win Survivor?
