Seems like a No Brainer - Winner is Announced! - Recap

With Ralph gone from Redemption Island and Grant sent there to join Matt, Mike and Andrea, only Phillip, Rob, Ashley, and Natalie are left in the main game. Tonight is the season finale of Survivor and the final three will be revealed. On night 35 on Redemption Island, Grant comes in and says that he feels betrayed, but kind of knew that it was going to happen because he is a threat. Meanwhile on the Murolino tribe, they talk about the choice they had to make and that they are not too happy about it. Rob says that he has a heart for people and he tells Ashley that he is now the huge threat. Rob says that Ashley is the one to go next.

Day 36

On Redemption Island, Matt loves it on the island now and says that it is a special place. Grant and Andrea get the tree mail and it tells them that it is their final duel on Redemption Island and that they are going to have to dig deep. They get to the duel and they are going to have to balance a vase. Last one to have their vase fall wins and returns to the game. After 40 minutes, first to fail is Grant. After an hour, Matt fails. Mike and Andrea are left. Mike drops his vase and Andrea re-enters the game. The final five are Philip, Rob, Natalie, Ashley and Andrea.

They go back to camp and Andrea feels awkward with the fact that she is there now. Rob talks to Philip about how the strategy is going to have to change and Andrea tries to plant the seed of doubt in Ashley and Natalie’s mind to vote Rob out or Philip. She lies and says that everyone says that they are going to vote for Philip. Rob and Philip talk in front of Andrea and tell that Andrea is the threat.

Day 37

Immunity Challenge time and they arrive and are told that they are going to have to balance and collect bags and put tiles from 1-100. After a race, it is Ashley who wins the immunity. Rob feels the tension as they get back to camp. Natalie and Ashley go off and Ashley says that Natalie needs to promise her that her vote is going to go to Philip after Andrea is voted out. She says that she will and will tell Ashley if her name comes up. Rob gets nervous with Philip telling him about Ashley and Natalie talking and he tells Philip that he has nothing to worry about and thinks that he might have to do something.

Tribal Council time and the final five get in and Jeff asks what is on their minds. Rob tells that he has had some tough choices to make and Andrea says that she went up to the girls and says that they have never done anything strategic. They vote and afterwards, the votes are brought up and Rob uses his immunity idol. Rob gets 1 vote that doesn’t count and Andrea gets 2. Next one voted off is Andrea. The final four get back to camp and Philip says that they need to group hug.

Day 38

Immunity Challenge Time and they are going to have to make it through the maze and then solve a word puzzle. Rob and Ashley are neck and neck. First through the maze is Rob with Ashley right behind. Philip and Natalie are falling out of the race. The first to solve the puzzle and win immunity is Rob. It is an emotional end.

They get back to camp and hug it out. Rob tells that they are going to have to blindside someone, and Rob says that if he is going to blindside Ashley, he has to bring Natalie into it. Rob goes up to Ashley and tells her not to sweat it. Ashley starts to get nervous and says that Natalie is acting like Ashley is already gone. Philip and Rob talk and Philip says that Ashley is a lazy person and Rob tells that Ashley made friends with the former Zapatera tribe. Rob talks to Natalie that Ashley has too many friends on the jury.

Tribal Council Time and they talk about the game so far. Ashley says that she is disappointed that she didn’t get the necklace and Rob says that you never know with the jury. They vote and afterward, the votes are tallied: Phillip has 1 vote and Ashley has 2. The person voted out is Ashley. After that, the final three are revealed. Natalie, Rob and Philip are on the block for the vote of the jury.

Day 39

They get to feast on a lot of food as a reward for lasting the entire time on Survivor. Rob tells that he has been 117 days on Survivor and sits down with Natalie. He is happy. Philip comes up and says that he is burning his fuchsia underwear. Philip says that he Great Great Great Grandfather Jessum would say that he would be pleased to see them come to an end.

Tribal Council Time and the jury come up and Ashley gives Natalie a dirty look. Jeff congratulates the three for a good game and Philip is wrapped up in a blanket and the feather on his head. He says that they each have an opening statement to tell the jury why they deserve to win. Natalie says that she has great social skills and she is loyal and deserves to be there. She says that she would be the youngest female to win. Philip says that he deserves to win because he changed his strategy, but he gives Rob the credit as being better then him. He goes into the whole STEALTH thing and calls Rob the Mastermind. Rob says that he is a great competitor and he has done what he could and says that he was a hard worker and says that it is what they think is a successful quality. Rob says that it is about his wife and child, but he wants to have a better future.

The jury addresses the final three and Andrea is first. She asks Philip who he really is. He is combative about it. She asks Natalie why she betrayed Ashley. She says that it is a game. Ashley thanks Philip for giving her patience. Ashley says that Natalie back-stabbed her and she says that she was playing the game. Grant talks and asks Natalie and Rob about their alliance and Natalie says that Grant was a great threat and Rob says that he didn’t want to vote him out, but it is where the game took them. Ralph asks Natalie why they never talked and she says that she had to play the game. He asks Philip where the entire chicken is and Philip says that he would have been his friend if he was on their tribe to begin with. Matt comes up and asks Rob where the line is drawn and Rob says that it is when he is home. Julie says that none of them deserve the title. She asks if her parents would be proud of her. Julie asks Philip if his son is going to be proud of him and he tells her off. Mike gets up and says that he has found peace within himself and asks if they learned anything about themselves. Natalie says that she says that she has learned confidence. Rob says that he needs to stop playing games and this is last time. Philip says that he learned that he can stand on his own. Steve is up and congrats Natalie and Rob and says that he is sorry for Phillip. David talks to the jury and says that Rob is the mastermind of it and says that it is easy to see who deserves it. The jury votes and Jeff tells the final three that he will see them in New York for the reading of the votes.
