Double Agent - Recap

With Ozzy voted to Redemption Island, for the Savaii Tribe: Whitney, Keith, Dawn, Cochran, and Jim and on the Upolu Tribe: Coach, Edna, Sophie, Albert, Rick, and Brandon are in it to win it. Night 18 at the Savaii Tribe and Cochran says that he hopes the merge comes. Everyone doesn’t like the fact that Cochran didn’t step up and take control of the vote. Cochran says that he is going to be the villain, but Cochran has a secret plan of his own. On Redemption Island, Ozzy goes up to Christine and says that Cochran blindsided him. She buys it and says that Cochran is sneaky.

Day 19

The last duel before the merge is underway and everyone from all the tribes is witnessing the match. Jeff asks how it feels for Ozzy and he plays the victim, but Albert doesn’t buy it. They have to put sticks together to retrieve keys. The person to unlock three locks gets to enter back into the game. Christine thinks that she has it, but it is Ozzy who is the winner at the end. Savaii tribe celebrates that their plan worked and they get new buffs for their merged tribe.

The Merged Tribe gets to their camp to find food and beer everywhere. They get to know one another and start to strategize. Right away, Cochran takes the shelter of Coach and talks to him about what they are planning to do. Coach says that Cochran is an intellectual and there are many more things that they can give him on their tribe then on the other. Coach says that he knows what they are probably planning and says that he has a line. He says that Cochran can either join them or not. Cochran goes up to the rest of the old Upolu tribe and tells them their plan to infiltrate. They don’t want to believe Cochran, but think that they might want to. Cochran goes over and gives Ozzy his idol back as promised.

Day 21

On their way to get tree mail, Dawn and Cochran talk about the newly formed tribe and the fact that they could jump ship and betray their old tribe. Dawn gets emotional and says that it is true that the other members didn’t ever treat Cochran like one of their equals and she feels bad that she never stuck up for him. She says that he reminds her of one of her sons and says that he is loyal to his own self. He says that Dawn can join him and defect from the old Savaii tribe.

Immunity Challenge time and they tell that their tribe name is Te Tuna. This time they are playing for an individual immunity and they are going to have to hold a coconut between two strings and balance. Last man and last woman left are going to get immunity idols. Edna and Cochran are the first to go out. In the second round Whitney and Sophie are out. Dawn wins the immunity for the women. Coach, Rick, Jim and Keith all drop out in the second round. Ozzy, Brandon and Albert are left and it is Ozzy who wins immunity for the men. The old Savaii tribe do a little celebration knowing that they have the upper hand.

At Te Tuna, the tribe members get in and the old Savaii tribe are happy that they are happy that their odds are better then the other side of the tribe. Ozzy wants to make sure that everyone is still on board at drawing rocks and tying everything up. They chose to go with Rick to vote out and Cochran asks if they want him to flip. Jim says that no one likes that they have to pick rocks, but it is going to have to happen. They tell that they are going to give the hidden immunity idol to Whitney. Cochran goes to Sophie and tells her the entire plan. She says that she isn’t going to believe him right now and Cochran says that he is going to need protection after the vote. Dawn and Cochran talk again and she says that it is not a good idea to upset anyone on their old tribe. She says that it is up to him if he decides to flip.

Tribal council time and Te Tuna come in with their minds already made up to what is going to happen. Ozzy admits that the plan was a sham and says that he has the idol still. Dawn says that it is worth the risk. Edna says that someone will switch when they don’t feel like part of the group. Jim says that there is no chance that one of the old Savaii tribe is going to defect. Sophie says that she doesn’t trust the six Savaii tribe members. The votes are tallied and it is Keith with 6 votes and Rick with 6 votes. They revote and it is Rick with 4 Keith with 5 votes. The next person voted out to Redemption Island is Keith. Jim calls Cochran a coward. Brandon takes Cochran under his wing.
