A Closer Look - Recap of the season so far & previously unseen footage - Recap

Tonight is a recap of the journey thus far of the first 27 days and where with Savaii Tribe: Ozzy, Whitney, Keith, Dawn, Mark, John, Elyse, Semhar and Jim and on the Upolu Tribe: Coach, Edna, Sophie, Albert, Christine, Rick, Mikayla, Stacey, and Brandon are all in it to win the $1 Million.

Day 1

In the early days at the Upolu, Coach gets to work, but at the Savaii tribe, they are laid back. Dawn lets everyone know that she is Mormon and doesn’t want to go in her underwear. Cochran’s body issues make everyone laugh. Cochran tries to show that he is an asset to the tribe and he guts a fish slowly. Back at Upolu, Coach gets to work with getting everyone excited to get to work and says that he knows that Ozzy is a great Survivor and would rather have Ozzy on his tribe, but the great thing about his tribe. Brandon says that Coach played loyal through the game and goes up to him and asks him to take him as far as he can. Brandon says that he is a man of God and they give each other their word.

Brandon seeks redemption and goes out with the boat to show that he can do something for the tribe and catches fish for the tribe. Sophie knows that Brandon is hiding something and keeps her eye on him.

Day 6

Cochran depended on his Social Curve to make sure that his spot on Survivor is set. Papa Bear says that Cochran is a wannabe lady’s man. He tells Cochran to go up to Elise and flirt with her. Cochran later tests his theory on Whitney and she tells him that she would have thought he was gay if he would have done that. They go to the immunity challenge and Savaii lose.

Day 15

By this time, Mikayla gets sick from the pork and Coach sees her putting two scoops of sugar and he is not happy about it. He retaliates and says that he is going to cook up the pork fat. Mikayla gets even grosser to her stomach and walks off. Coach says that he doesn’t care about it. At Savaii, Cochran goes up to Elyse and pushes her in the cot and tells her about going to the bathroom in his pants in Kindergarten. During tribal council, Mikayla is gone.

The next day, Rick and Edna is tired of Brandon and Edna goes up to Coach and tells her his meltdowns. She tells him that Brandon can’t handle the pressure. Albert tells Coach that he is not going to be here a while. Coach takes him to the beach and talks to him. They pray with one another and Coach says that Brandon is stubborn and says that he needs to be calm with everything.

Day 17

The Savaii Tribe get close, but it is Keith and Whitney who are really close. Cochran knows of the arrangement that they have and they show it in the bungalow. The next day, they decide to cook the rooster. Ozzy makes it his mission to out Cochran to be made fun of. He laughs that Cochran because of the way he was holding the rooster. He tells himself that he is going to show that he is going to be in the game. They lose the challenge before the merge and Ozzy hatches a plan. At tribal council, Ozzy decides to go to Redemption so that he can win and get Christine out of there.

The tribes merge and Coachran tells Coach of the relationship that Keith and Whitney have and Coach laughs at the status of the way that Ozzy was allowing the old Savaii tribe to live. That night, the old Upolu tribe members are restless. Coach sees that Cochran is by himself and says that he is going to welcome him in.

Day 20

Coach meets with Cochran and hugs him. He is weary about Coach’s willingness to meet with him. He says that Ozzy is Narcissist, Whitney would be Erota and Edna would be Echo. He calls Cochran Hercules because he is the strongest of Surivor. This makes him feel good and Coach calls himself Zeus because he is a doting father. Ozzy is the provider for the tribe and he shows everyone else that he is keeping the tribe unified. Dawn says that she doesn’t want to be mean to the other part of the tribe. Ozzy feeds everyone else and Dawn talks to Brandon. He says that Ozzy is playing for himself and it is not right.

Coach goes up to Ozzy and says that he wants to go to the end with him. However, neither one of them are meaning anything. At tribal council, Cochran flips. Brandon tells the tribe that they need to kill a chicken. However, Brandon doesn’t grab him right and right and it runs off. Everyone isn’t happy with his choices and Albert talks to Sophie to try to get Brandon out, but she doesn’t want to go against the original six. With only 7 castaways left, it is a race to see who the next Survivor is going to be. The episode ends.
