Then There Were Five - Recap

With Edna voted off to Redemption Island to face off with Ozzy, Coach, Sophie, Albert, Rick, and Brandon are the five left in the game. On Night 32, the Te Tuna tribe gets to camp after tribal. They are all feeling fine. Brandon gets them together and they pray. Coach says that he knows that it is everyone for themselves. Albert says that he wants to vote out Rick next, but when Sophie leaves, he says that she is next and that she is not going to see the blindside coming at all.

Day 33

Albert gets up and sees that Sophie is a real threat because of the fact that she is good at challenges. He goes up to Rick and Brandon and Rick says that there are only six days. Albert says that he and Rick are going to the end. He says that he is the least dangerous and that it would be a smart move. He says that he is going to go to the final three and get the $1 Million. The duel is underway and they are going to have to solve the puzzle and get to stay alive in the game. It begins and Ozzy gets the lead right away. Edna struggles with the puzzle and Albert helps her. Ozzy struggles with the puzzle and Edna gets the lead because the Te Tuna tribe starts to help her. However, despite their help, Ozzy gets through the challenge and wins it. Edna says that she showed that she could survive without a lot.

The tribe gets back to camp and they start to feel the stress. Brandon says that it is going to be hard to be honest. Albert says that they are going to have to win so that they can keep Ozzy from coming back. Sophie talks to Coach and says that everyone on the jury has been to “Ozzy’s Pleasure Dome” and says that they are going be better if they can send Brandon to Redemption so that they can get Ozzy or Brandon out. Coach says that is a good plan. Rick joins them and he says that he is with them with whatever they decide. Albert goes up to Coach and tells him that Sophie is a real threat and that they need to get her out of there. He tells him that he isn’t thinking strait. Brandon comes up and asks what they’re talking about. Coach says that it is nothing and Brandon pushes a little. Coach tells him not to do that and says that it reminds him of the way Russell was.

Day 35

The Survivors come to the immunity challenge and they are going to have to climb a rope and get a number code and get their flag raised. The reward of Pizza is up for grabs too. The challenge begins and Brandon and Rick get a good lead. Everyone eventually get their puzzle pieces and Coach and Brandon are neck to neck. It is Coach and Brandon who race to the top to see if they have the combination. Brandon wins the immunity and reward. He picks Rick to go with him on the pizza reward.

Back at camp, the pizza delivery comes and Sophie and Coach talk. She tells him that she is going to vote out Albert. He agrees. Albert comes over and Sophie says that she wants to “smell” the pizza. However, Albert knows that she is talking strategy with the others. She tells Brandon that she is going to vote out Albert and Rick says that Albert came up to him and promised him a spot in the final three. Brandon feels betrayed and talks to Albert about where his loyalties lie. He says that he wants to know the truth. Albert, Brandon and Rick get into an argument and Albert lies and says that he didn’t say that. Sophie smiles at the nuisance. Brandon and Albert talk and Brandon says that he sees inside Brandon and says that he deserves to be there.

Brandon sits down and talks to Coach and tells him that they will make it in the game and that they need to keep Albert in the game and he says that he is going to have to give Albert his immunity necklace. He says that he knows that Coach won’t write down his name and he says that he will pray about it and get back to him. Coach says that he got on his knees and one name kept popping into his head. He says that he doesn’t want to do it, but has to.

Tribal Council time and right off, Brandon gives Albert the immunity necklace. He says that he is sticking to what he originally bonded with and hopes that Coach will honor that as well. However, plan backfires when everyone starts to point out how stupid of a move that was and that Brandon should be worried about going home. He says that he is worried. Jeff asks if Albert would give it back if he thought that Brandon was in trouble, but he doesn’t make any efforts to make sure that it doesn’t happen. They vote and the votes are tallied. There are 2 votes for Brandon and 2 votes for Sophie. The 15th person voted out to Redemption Island is Brandon. Coach tells him that it is God’s Will and that he needs to win Redemption Island. The episode ends.
