16 new Survivors, 39 days, $1 million up for grabs, and a new location - the vast savannah of Kenya. Survivor: Africa is here! The players are split into two tribes: Brandon, Carl, Frank, Kim Powers, Linda, Lindsay, Silas and Teresa on the Samburu tribe, and Clarence, Ethan, Diane, Jessie, Kelly, Kim Johnsson, Lex and Tom on the Boran tribe. Frank's bosiness gets him on the wrong side of his tribemates, while Diane and Clarence cause a major blow-up in the Boran camp when they eat a can of beans while the others are away collecting water. As the Survivors make an unpleasant discovery about the state of their watering hole, and Samburu manages to light a fire with the aid of a telescope, wild animals begin to surface, and Boran loses the first African Immunity Challenge, an obstacle course involving fire, sending them to Tribal Council, where Diane Ogden is voted out of Africa as the first casualty of the game. The tribe has spoken.
