Swinging in the 70's!Rating: 3 likes, 0 dislikes
When I saw the pilot I thought it looked kinda boring, but I promised myself to watch at least three-four episodes before eventually quitting if it got worse. But as it turned out, the show got really interesting, and since it's set back to the 70's, you get a new view on how life was back then (yeah I didn't live during the 70's, so this was a great new experience for me). anyways, I kind of recognize some of the main characters as people i might know now. They dress like my grandfather, and their style is outstanding. I feel like I just peeked into a realistic view of how life was in the 70's. sexual discrimination, "The american dream", american politics under Reagan, and the new unexperienced market of drugs and sex. yeah I said it. sex. This show shows us how things were back then, when a woman couldn't "see a porno" without being looked weirdly on, and certain marriages were strictly "sex every other friday"-like. Conflicts and drama is a normal factor to add to a drama show, but this show takes it even further. You get to know all characters, and see everything from everybody's view. you have the Millers, the Thompsons and the Deckers. and then you have the younger generation, which is the Miller's and the Thompson's kids. it started out a bit boring, but thats because there is a lot of things going on, and a lot of things to remember and keep up with. and with all this going on, we also have Tom and Trina Decker, who has an open marriage, and they are trying to make the Millers their "swinger" friends. the Thompsons are the strict and "perfect" family, and they all get together and learn each others secrets. great show, worth watching. hope they sign it for a second season!
