Switched at Birth: The Tempest

Bay tries to impress Melody with her ASL (American Sign Language) knowledge, trying to earn some points as Emmet's girlfriend - to no avail. Meanwhile, Regina tries to help Bay with Melody at a game night, but finds this to be harder than expected. When Kathyrn is approached by a local reporter to turn their family baby-swap story into a book, she balks at sensationalizing it and considers writing her own version of the truth, but will Regina also think this is a good idea? Daphne tries to fit in with her new friend Simone, who happens to be an old friend of Bay's, and Wilke and Toby try to earn some extra money by making fake ID's.

The episode opens with Bay posing for Emmet, with Emmet clicking Bay’s photos in various locations. Back at Emmet’s home, Bay insists that Emmet upload her pictures online without any Photoshop — because sticking to the real thing is true art, during all this explaining Bay ends up getting cozy with Emmet; at that very moment Emmett’s mom, Melody walks into the room unannounced . Bay discovers that Emmett’s mom, Melody, disapproves of Emmett’s relationship with her, mainly because she feels it’s affecting Emmett’s academics. Melody confronts Emmett about quitting AP Biology and guesses it’s because he wants to take speech therapy instead. “You can’t shortchange academics,” she tells him. “You have to stop micromanaging me,” he shoots back irritated, the whole conversation between mother and son puts Bay in an awkward position, hence she leaves. ..
