This episode marks the first appearances of April O'Neil and Casey Jones as regular characters since Season Four, as they had made minor appearances in Season Five and Season Six
 
Master Khan is confronted by The Cyber-Shredder at the conclusion of the episode. It is revealed during their conversation that The Foot has been significantly crippled following the rampage of The Tengu Shredder, and with Karai absent, Khan has been attempting to restore it to it's former glory himself.
