Show FAQ
Is This The Same As The Original TMNT?
Nope, this is based partially on the original MIRAGE comics, though you shouldn't expect to see too much in terms of faithful adaptation. The series is it's own animal and has done many different things with it's source material, mostly to work around censors, making it something people can easily access and call their own without having to depend too much of understanding the comic mythology

What Are The Differences Between This Series And The Comic?
1. The Shredder Is A Mantle, Not One Person : The Shredder name has been used many times in this series by different people for different purposes, seldom are they good. There have been a total of three Shredders so far, four if you count the unidentified statue seen in the Battle Nexus. These Shredders are

Tengu Demon/Oroku Saki: An evil spirit from another dimension, the Tengu demon ravaged the lands of feudal Japan many centuries ago until his physical body and armies were slain by a tribunal of mystical warriors, before his demise however, the demon successfully possessed one of the Tribunal, a warrior named Oroku Saki, and used his body to finish what he had begun. Only after a final battle was he imprisoned and stopped, pieces of his Armour scattered to prevent a mystical rebirth. He returns in the fifth season of the series and is presented as the definitive Shredder of the series

Ch'rell The Utrom: Call this the series' own personal tribute to Krang and Shredder, in which case "Krang" IS The Shredder, a rouge member of the usually peaceful Utrom alien race, Ch'rell long ago escaped his captors on Earth and trapped his fellow Trims on the planet in the process. Over the years, he used the name of The Shredder to influence and gain allies and amassed a centuries old dynasty of crime, eventually basing himself in New York, where, thanks to the intervention of the TMNT and his Utrom enemies, his empire collapsed.

Karai: Shredder's adopted daughter

Nightmare Revealed
: Raphael has a nightmarish vision in the third season that indicates his anger and rash behavior may lead him to become something greater than the evil he presently battles.

2. That's Not What My Mom Told Me...
: Several characters now have different back stories, the Turtles met a young Casey Jones in their youth without realizing it, Shredder's origins come from a force that didn't appear until season five, Casey protects a young girl called Angel in his neighborhood, the Rat King is now a rouge clone of Agent Bishop. Karai becomes an enemy of the Turtles, something she has yet to truly become in the comics (her affection for Leonardo remains very dominant in both versions though), she also falls in love, something never seen in the comics despite her once having a teenage daughter slain during the original "City At War" arc.

3. Gordon's Alive: Several characters long dead in the comic remain alive and well to offer a diverse threat for the TMNT to battle (Baxter, Saki, Rat King)

4. ...In With The New: The following characters are completely exclusive to the new series:

Hun (seasons one-five, and season seven)
Ch'rell (seasons one-three)
Mortu (seasons one-three)
Garbageman (seasons one and two, appears in an aborted fifth season episode)
Nano (seasons one, two, and five)
Agent Bishop (seasons three-onwards)
The Underground Dwellers (seasons one and two)
Dr. Chaplin (seasons three and five)
Cody Jones (season six)
Starlee (season six)
Darius Dunn (season six)
Serling (season six-onwards)
Viral (season six-onwards)

Why Was The Lost Season Pulled From Airing?
The Lost Season was axed because 4Kids decided to "retool" the franchise to achieve bigger ratings and bigger toy sales. TLS became available on 4Kids comcast on-demand services, but was quickly pulled. Foreign country transmissions and an Australian release of the season led to multiple torrenting and ultimately countless Youtube viewings, whilst FF bombed miserably, forcing 4Kids to fire the animators and retool the series again.

The twelve Lost Season episodes are expected to premiere on 4Kids in 2008

Why Do Fans Love Pairing April With Donny?
The interest in April's relationship with Donatello is due to the producers and Peter Laid openly admitting that the two share a deep bond with one another in this series and that they are to be seen as best Friends and soul mates separated only by their distinctly incompatible species. April does however, love Casey so its not as if she is simply "settling" for someone she can have
