Agent James Ellison, played by Richard T. Jones (3)
James Ellison
- Has been investigating The Connor's since 1999, and restarted his investigation in 2007 when they all of a sudden reappeared.
- He believes she is a danger, and begins questioning people from her past including Tarissa Dyson and Charlie Dixon.
- After being tied up and left for dead in a burning building Sarah comes to the rescue only to disappear when he regains himself.
- By the end of the first season, after witnessing Cromartie's attack on the police force he starts to believe Sarah is telling the truth. |

Cameron, played by Summer Glau
Cameron the Terminator
- Sent back to protect John Connor and first met with him in Kansas in 1999.
- When Cromartie started attacking in the school they raced to the bank and traveled to the year 2007; soon to be 2008.
- She is mysterious, it's been shown that she was one of the bad guys in the future.
- In order to fully protect John she acompanies him to school and comes off as his twin sister.
- As a terminator she doesn't have much of a personality, nor does she care for human emotion or affection.
- She will get the job done no matter how many people she needs to kill. And will sacrifice the lives of other to make sure John does not get caught.

John Connor, played by Thomas Dekker
John Connor
- Born in 1984 to parents Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese
- He was first targeted by a T-1000 in 1997 when he was only 13 years old, only to be defended by the same model that once tried to kill his mother.
- While his mother was in the institution he lived with his foster parents, Tod and Janelle Voight, they were killed by the T-1000.
- When Sarah was in the institution she was going to sign over her parental rights, he found out eary on in the first season.
- After John's protector defeated the T-1000 it was time for him to say goodbye to the only father figure he ever had left, as it was the only way to avoid judgment day.
- In 1998 John had another father figure in his life; Charlie Dixon. Only is their new family destroyed when Sarah gets suspicious and they leave.
- In their new town John gets targeted on his first day by Cromartie; a new terminator set out to destroy him, only to his advantage Cameron; his protector, is there to save him and his destiny.
- Cameron brings the Sarah and John to a bank where they travel ten years in to the future.
- John must now deal with the trials of staying alive and going to highschool, while having a strange sister following him everwhere.
- Later in the first season John was introduced to Derek Reese, his uncle, and in the finale met his father; only he was a child.
- John is one day destined to become the resistance leader and take down Skynet. |

Sarah Connor, played by Lena Headey
Sarah Connor
- her world was turned upside down in 1984 when she learned her son would lead a future resistance.
- The terminator was sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor, because of this John sent back his number one soldier Kyle Reese to protect her.
- Kyle eventually empregnanted Sarah in to whom she would bear the child known as John Connor.
- Kyle eventually died in his efforts to destroy the terminator, but succeeded in saving the future.
- Nobody believed Sarah when she told them about the terminators, the future, Kyle, and skynet, and she was institutionalized.
- She escaped from the mental hospital with the help of her 13 year old son, John, and an old enemy turned ally, The Terminator.
- In her efforts to stop skynet she killed Miles Dyson, and found an old arm from one of the terminators in 1984.
- After the death of The Terminator, and the T-1000, the Connor's believed they stopped Judgment Day once and for all.
- In 1999, they were still running, and after ending her relationship with Charlie Dixon in a bad way they moved to Kansas.
- They got caught and Cameron the new protector too them to the year 2007; soon to be 2008.
- They delayed Judgment day until 2011. |

Catherine Weaver [S02], played by Shirley Manson
Catherine Weaver
- She is a Terminator.
- Also Known as Shirley.
- T-1001 Model. She is an advanced version of the T2 terminator, however it is not yet known what upgrades she has.
- Cyberdyne CEO
- initiates Project Babylon
- As of now we're to assume she is working to bring about judgment day before 2011.
- Works with Agent Ellison.

Cromartie [S02], played by Garret Dillahunt
Cromartie
- Portrayed by Owain Yeoman and Garret Dillahunt
- Also known as George Lazlo and Robert Kester.
- Model T-888
- Assassin
- He first approached John in a highschool but wasn't able to kill 16 year old John Connor thanks to his protector; Cameron.
- Although only organism's can travel through time Cromartie appeared to be above the rule as his head was teleported to the year 2007; soon to be 2008.
- He then began walking around with a towel around his head to cover up the cyborg like skull he has.
- Eventually able to remold a new body and figure all together with the help of a scientest, only did he kill him when he regained himself.
- He has caught the Connor's numerous times but with the help of Kyle and Cameron hasn't had luck killing them yet.
- At the end of the first season Cromartie attacked and killed the entire police force with the exception of Agent Ellison who happened to get off lucky. |

Derek Reese [recurring previously; S02], played by Brian Austin Green (2)
Derek Resse
- Younger brother of Kyle Reese
- Uncle to John Connor
- Resistance fighter sent back in time to destory the Turk, after being arrested he is confronted by Sarah Connor.
- When Reese is released from jail he meets up with the Connor's to help them.
- In the future Cameron was one of the bad guys, unaware the Future John Connor sent her back, he remains suspicious of her, and often tries to destroy her.
- He is the last remaining resistance fighter sent back, living in the year 2008.
- A young Kyle and Derek Reese are shown playing catch at the end of the first season, this is the first time John Connor has met his father, but it won't be the last. |

- Her character was introduced in the second episode of the second season.
