In Season 2 Episode 21, Death of an important character "Derek Reese"...
"Derek Reese" played by Brian Austin Green was completely done wrong. First Brian Austin Green performance was simply amazing in the series. Second the character "Derek Reese" was a very important character to the primary story. Simply killing off the character is wrong, especially done incorrectly at the wrong time of the story. The other deaths like "Jesse" and "Riley Dawson" was done very well, done correctly, and made perfect sense to the primary story. "Derek’s death makes no sense to the story [as of right now], ether make some sort of way to bring the character back from ether demand from viewers/fans, or make his death some sense. |

I agree! I went online to re-watch that scene to see if I missed anything of consequence - but I didnt. There simply was nothing of consequence in the scene. I've been watching science fiction & soaps long enough to know that dead isn't always dead, but I don't see that happening here. I just don't get it. If there was a reason for him to leave the show, couldn't they have found some other way? A lead he had to follow in another part of the state or country?? Or at least make his death as much of a plot point as Jesse's and Riley's were? Although, now that I think about it, his burial did at least link to the earlier visit to his brother's grave.
But on whole it was very disappointingly done. |

I actually disagree. The show has been lagging for me, for awhile, because the writers forgot how dangerous these machines are. Now, they've rediscovered that and they've also proved that no one is safe. Although I'm sorry to see Reese go, the recent deaths have made the show more interesting, I feel. |

I'm not really complaining that Reese was killed off, it's about how it was written & filmed. I think that it was given almost no more special attention than a stranger on the street would have been. |

Hey, maybe they'll rename the series to something else and surprise everyone with a "new hit". |
