Fun show but can be dismissed or accepted either way
!!!!!! This review contains spoilers !!!!!!

Well another product seeking to profit of the Terminator movies.

We start with the good parts of the show:

*Cast

Lena Headey who plays Sarah Connor is a good actress and mixed in with the fact that she's hot and well we have a great leading lady here.

•Summer Glau as the female terminator is also good.

*Special Effects and Action

Well by the looks of it, FOX or whoever financed it definitely put in major dollars to have this show capture the feel of the movies and they succeed
on that level.

The Bad

*Plots and inconsistencies with the movies-Man and there's a boatload
of inconsistencies as far as the dates and what happens after T2.

*Characters aren't the same or varied (yet)-Lena's version of Sarah
Connor is much more different than Linda Hamilton's version.
People forget that Sarah spent quite a number of years in an insane
asylum before the real Terminator came. Here in the series it seems
to have been tossed aside. Sarah comes across as a normal mother
but I would have liked to see moments where she really loses it.

*John Connor is still a wuss-Well seeing as this is supposed to be
several years after T2 (Again the dates are up in the air) it has been Sarah
Connor all the way and not much action from John. If he is supposed to
be this great warrior in the making we've hardly seen it.

*Terminator 3-Well despite the fact that the series ignores T3-Somethings
still are referenced like Sarah Connor's death in the future. In the
two episodes Sarah is made aware of her death but because of their
use of time travel she evades it for...now.

There's probably more things I could point out so obviously as much
as this ignores T3, I wouldn't consider this to be an official timeline to
movies. You can either accept it or not acknowledge. There are major
plotholes all over the place and again the character development isn't
quite there but maybe that will change.

On the plus side as mentioned there is a big budget here and every episode has impressive action scenes. Obviously not as violent and gory
as the movies were but for network TV it hits the mark.

The cast is also more than decent. It'll be interesting to see how the show
measure by the last episode. I could see it lasting just one season then
again if the ratings are great, it could lasts 2 seasons especially when 24
comes back.

All in all it's a decent series but again I wouldn't consider part of the official
Terminator universe but an alternate version of what might happen after
T2.

Editors Note: You could also look at this in an alternate way being if you knew the outlook of Terminator 3 with Sarah being dead, this series changes the time line and the entire reality of the series. It's like T3: Rise of the Machines did happen except Cameron made it so it wouldn't happen again.
