Terra Nova

Terra Nova is an epic family adventure that is 85 million years in the making. The show follows a family through a journey back in time to prehistoric times. The year is 2149 and husband and wife, Jim Shannon (Jason O'Mara) and Elizabeth Shannon (Shelley Conn) are joined by their 17-year-old son Josh (Landon Liboiron) and 15-year-old Maddy (Naomi Scott). Together they have to get to Terra Nova. Once there, Josh is instantly attracted to Skye (Allison Miller), a "bad girl" of sorts. They meet Commander Nathaniel Taylor (Stephen Lang) there and he informs them that they have a fresh start on Terra Nova. However, a group of renegades led by Mira (Christine Adams) are a serious threat.

With Terra Nova under siege, Jim plans with Taylor to take back Terra Nova from Lucas and Mira. However, in doing do, they are forced with a hard decision that results in losing one of their own. With the portal open to both 2149 and the time where they are now, Taylor is faced with the ultimate decision that could change the way they are going to live.

1x2: Genesis (2) recap: In the hospital, Elisabeth is patching up a guy that a guard calls a "Sixer". Elisabeth is confused and when she asks what a "Sixer" is, the man jumps up and puts a knife to Elisabeth’s throat. The guard allows him to walk out unharmed... read more.

1x13: Resistance (2) recap: Josh and Jim are in the holding cells and Josh tells Jim that it is his fault that they are there for hitting Lucas in the head with the tray. Jim tells him that it is alright. Lucas comes in and tells him that Josh is free to go, but says that Jim has to stay. Lucas shows him that he has a type of stun gun to electrocute Jim with. In the infirmary, Weaver goes in for an itch. Elisabeth comes up and says that there is a type of larva that can eat the brain from the inside out. She says that she injected him with a huge dose of them and that she has the cure for it. She tells him to get her husband out of the holding cell that Lucas has him in. He agrees to get him out. Meanwhile, Lucas is electrocuting Jim trying to get information out of him, but Jim refuses to talk. He asks him about Somalia and Lucas says that Taylor made a choice to save him and not his mother. Jim says that it wasn’t Taylor’s fault, but Lucas says that Taylor blamed him and says that he could see it. He gets angry and shocks Jim again... read more.

1x12: Occupation (1) recap: The scene opens in 2149 where Lucas meets with Weaver, his employer, and Weaver asks him what happened to Lucas’ face. Lucas says that he was almost killed by a Nicoraptor. He says that the 11th pilgrimage is leaving tomorrow. Lucas says that they will find a way. Meanwhile in Terra Nova, Taylor prepares everyone for the eminent attack. He organizes the team together. Jim tells Elisabeth to be ready to go back to the colony if plans don’t go right. Later at home, Zoe asks if there is a war, could she shout the cannon. They laugh and say that there isn’t going to be a war. Josh asks if he can come with him to the portal tomorrow. He says that if Cara comes through, he will watch out for her. The next day, they get ready to go to the portal and Reynolds kisses Maddy goodbye. 1x11: Within recap: The scene opens with Taylor and Jim going up to the portal to make sure that all preparations are made for the 11th pilgrimage. Jim says that he doesn’t remember going through it. Taylor says that he doesn’t know how it works exactly. He tells Jim that he wants the “Sixer” spy found. Jim says that he needs a word with Riley and he asks why he checked into the infirmary and she says that her partner slammed her finger in a door. Jim talks to another employee of the infirmary and she wasn’t anywhere near. Jim talks to Skye and sees the cuts on her hands. He asks her where she was and she says that she was with Josh and says that they were at her house. Maddy is trying to read while Josh annoys her. 1x10: Now You See Me recap: The scene opens with Commander Taylor leaving on a mission. He tells Skye it will take 24 hours at the most, hearing which, she feels a little less worried. When Taylor tells her how her parents would have been proud to know her as a grownup woman, she comments that is something he says every year. However, Taylor maintains that is true every year. Later he hopes to take a walk to the memorial with Skye after he is back. While he is ready to leave for his mission, a soldier comes asking for purpose of exiting Terra Nova gates. It is a rule that everyone must honestly reveal where one are going. Jim confirms the rule – Taylor has set it up himself, and with no exceptions. Taylor appreciates the soldier’s sincerity, but leaves without answering as Jim clears him. Before taking off, Taylor mentions that he trusts no one 100 percent, but Jim. Moreover, Jim is in-charge, until Taylor comes back. Taylor reaches a wild river coast covered with a rocky terrain. He is quick to discover clusters of calculations done with white paint. They do not look too old. Then he proceeds to a nearby place to find fire wood. He touches it to check if someone has used it recently. While he tries to scan the painted calculations near the firewood, Mira is standing behind with a gun pointed at him. She tries getting him on the back foot by talking about Taylor’s estranged son Lucas. When she asks if he has the answers, Taylor replies it looks like he has.
