Why did "Gran Torino" get nominated for NOTHING?

Academy Awards = bunch of tossers.

No kidding. Eastwood deserved at least a nomination for his role.

It might've been too late for it to get nominated, so it could be in the running for next year.

Well, I got six out of my seven picks. Pretty good show; I only fast forwarded through a few bits. I somehow had no idea Hugh Jackman was hosting, so that was exciting.

No one reads my summaries I add each day for the schedule if you had, then you would have known Hugh Jackman was indeed hosting AND that the show took place at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California...all from the first line!!! (You earned 3 exclamation points for that faux pas)

Now, read this....memorize it! There will be a test later on:
    Quote:
Hugh Jackman hosts the 81st Annual Academy Awards ceremony, live from the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. The top nominated movie this year is "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," with 13 nominations, including Best Picture along with "Frost/Nixon," "Milk," "The Reader" and "Slumdog Millionaire."

Sorry, I didn't think about reading the summary. I figured it would say, like, "Movie stars get Oscars for their work."

My favorite part of the night was with James Franco and Seth Rogen. The skit was pretty funny, but the best part was the award they presented. James mispronounced the winner, and Seth just bust out laughing. I watched it a few times.
