The 11 teams involved in this 26th Season of the Amazing Race that will compete against each other in hopes of winning the $1,000,000 prize are introduced and the race officially begins.
On the 1st Episode of this Season 26 on Wednesday, the very first couple was eliminated in Tokyo, Japan. They were dating couple Jeff Magee who is an Airplane pilot and Lyda Grawn who is a Flight attendant. In tonight’s 2nd episode which is leg #2 the 10 remaining couples are starting where they ended on Wednesday in Tokyo, Japan. This leg will be completed when they reach Nagano, Japan. Nagano (長野市 Nagano-shi?) is the capital city of Nagano Prefecture, which is located in the northern part of the prefecture near the confluence of the Chikuma and the Sai rivers, on the main Japanese island of Honshū
While in Thailand, one team forgets their fanny pack, putting them behind, and one Racer celebrates the end of the leg when they pop a very special question.
Teams face a race within the Race when they attempt to navigate the chaotic streets of Bangkok, and Racers eat a traditional delicacy--a "10,000 year old egg."
The teams have to put on lederhosen as they visit Oktoberfest in Bavaria, Germany.
For the first time, the Race travels to Monaco, where one team takes a big risk.
In the wild of Namibia, teams made grass huts alongside local Bushmen. A daring scramble up a rock led to a narrow win for Matt & Ashley, but Aly & Steve never recovered from a flat tire. They came in last, but were spared by non-elimination.
When the race continues in Namibia, a flat tire deflates one team's hopes of leading the pack and the dreaded Double U-Turn returns.
The competition heats up as the final five teams race to Amsterdam and take a dip in a floating hot tub in search of their next clue
The final five teams travel to Peru, where the Race gets physical and teams use their fitness trackers to help find their next clue. Also, Blair and Hayley's communication issues reach a boiling point.
The remaining teams make their way from Peru to Dallas, where they make their way 500 feet down the Reunion Tower.
