The 12th season starts at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills where 11 teams begin their journey around the world to win the $1 million grand prize. The pairs then jet off to Ireland where they must ride a high-wire bike that is 200 ft. above the North Atlantic. The first team is eliminated at the pit stop.

The eight teams dance in Burkina Faso for celebrity judges who can impose a 10-minute penalty for lack of originality; and a new wrinkle in the race causes one team to make an unpopular decision they fear will place a target on their backs.

The seven teams fly to Lithuania where they must count fence posts at a festival. One team is put on a collision course with a bus after losing focus while driving.
 
142 :12x06 - Cherry on Top of the Sundae that's Already Melted (Dec/09/2007)
The remaining six teams travel to Croatia and face choppy waters while competing in a challenge requiring a row boat. One team's mistake of a major detail may cause them a place in the competition.
 
143 :12x07 - This is Forever, Now (Dec/23/2007)
Stress takes its toll on one team as they travel to Italy, while another team considers making a change to their bodies to further their position in the race.
 
144 :12x08 - Honestly, They Have Witch Powers or Something! (Dec/30/2007)
One team tries to trick another by using performance art to buy up tickets for a later flight. The progress of one team's relationship hits a snag when one of the members resorts to his former self.
 
145 :12x09 - I Just Hope He Doesn't Croak On Us (Jan/06/2008)
It's off to Osaka, Japan for the remaining four contestants, where they must drive passengers around the cities busy streets in a taxi cab.
 
146 :12x10 - Sorry, Guys, 'I'm Not Happy to See You' (Jan/13/2008)
The 10th leg of the competition finds the final four teams pushing to reach the final spot as one of the three teams to compete for the million dollar prize. Meanwhile, one female racer celebrates her birthday during the race.
 
147 :12x11 - The Final Push (Jan/20/2008)
It's off to Alaska to the finish line for the three remaining teams, in hopes of winning the million dollar prize.
