The teams are finally heading out of the country when their first clue instructs them to head to Panama City where they will need to find the Smithsonian Tropical Institute. Once they arrive in Panama and reach their destination they discover that the place doesn't open til 7 am which means everyone will be on an even playing field. When it finally opened they raced boarded boats to look for Ricardo Diaz. The Gaghan family runs into trouble when their captain wanted to pick up other passengers until the Gaghans begged him to stay on course. Once they found Ricardo they find they can either head to the detour or the first and only fast forward on the race. The first to complete the task gets the fast forward and can go immediately to the pit stop. The Paolo's and Gaghan's both decide to go for it and the Paolo's arrive at the fast forward first but they need to bungee in groups of two to receive it. DJ Paolo is freaked out by jumping and almost seems like he is going to back out but he goes for it and the Gaghan's have to hurry to complete the roadblock and catch up. At the Detour the teams have to chose between Rhythm or Coos. In Rhythm the teams will need to find four instruments to a jazz club to receive their next clue. In Coos teams will have to go to a local bird sanctuary and identify five birds correctly. The next clue is for the roadblock where one member of the team has to hit a ball thrown by a little leaguer. They have 3 chances and if they don't hit it they strike out and must return to the end of the line. The Linz boys start ribbing Rolly and Linda Weaver gets all mad and calls them rude. Sharon Godlewski struggles with the task and soon slips to last place. The Godlewski's arrive at the pit stop in last place but are extremely happy to learn that this is a Non-Elimination Leg and planned appropriately by wearing every article of clothing they had with them. ..
