Brad Womack drove up to the mansion high in the hills of California in his pale green convertible and stepped out, greeted by host, Chris. Brad and Chris discussed Brad's getting to know the remaining girls that evening. Once inside the mansion, Brad told the girls that some of them would be going on individual dates with Brad that week, other girls would be going on group dates with him. He mentioned that while if a girl was on a date with him and he gave her a rose, that meant that she would have another date with him in the future. Brad asked the girls if they were ready to begin and they answered with bright smiles and resounding yeses!
Gripping a lovely red rose, Brad called Ashley H.'s name. She stood and walked up to him, smiling anxiously. He asked her if she would accept the first date rose and she nodded her head and reached for the bloom. Brad told her to expect a mystery date that evening. He told the girls to enjoy themselves and then left the room.
That evening, Ashley H., clad in a brief gold lame' dress topped with dark chiffon and wearing shiny black heels, stepped out into the night and slipped into Brad's convertible. Brad urged her not to feel anxious as he drove them toward that evening's mystery destination. Pulling onto a very dark country road, he drove to what appeared to be the very end of a tree enclosed trail, grasped an electric lantern and turned it on. He helped Ashley out of the car and held her hand, walking toward a dimly lit destination. Ashley kept saying that she was feeling anxious and not sure where they were or what was going on. Brad stepped onto pavement and put Ashley's hand on a cold metal switch, telling her to flip the switch and she would see. What was revealed was a carnival park complete with carnival rides, vending machines offering cotton candy and other goodies and lots of bright, colorful lights. Ashley was very excited and told Brad how happy she was to be there. The two enjoyed riding on the rides and even had cotton candy. Afterward, they crammed themselves into a tiny photo booth while sipping wine from stemmed crystal wine goblets and sharing a cotton candy treat. They smiled for the automatic camera and giggled themselves silly.
Brad was shown saying how much he enjoyed talking with Ashley, feeling like he could open up to her, telling her things after just a few minutes of being together that he had never told anyone before. He told her how his father had been in and out of his life when Brad was a child and how he had had trust and commitment issues in the past, but with help, he felt he was over those and ready to find a wife. Ashley mentioned that she had had the very same issues and would that be a problem for Brad? No, he said, he did not and was looking forward, very much, to further dates with her. He handed her a rose which she accepted with a huge smile.
The next day, bright and early, Brad told the girls that fifteen of them and himself were traveling to a studio in a nearby city to make some public service commercials for the Red Cross. The girls all climbed into a limousine and were driven to the studio where they met with the producer who gave each of them brief scripts and asked them to memorize their scripts. Each of the girls, after working on their scripts, were hustled into costumes and makeup and then put to work. One of the scenarios involved two girls fighting over Brad dressed as Gustavo, a hot Latin lover, with a third pregnant woman appearing on the scene. Another scene depicted two women bringing Brad home and immediately plunging into a threesome on a big bed, but Brad interrupted their reverie as a vampire seeking hot blood.
One girl said that the claws were coming out today because she thought that some of the girls felt they needed more one on one time with the bachelor and didn't feel they were getting it. Michelle was turning thirty that day and felt left out in a major way, making a scene about it, stomping off to pout in a corner. Brad felt responsible and went to her, trying to soothe her ruffled feathers, promising to spend some alone time with her that evening. She agreed to come back and do her scene, returning on Brad's arm, aiming a triumphant but petulant smile at the other women. One or two of them told the camera that they hoped she would leave very soon.
As promised, that evening the women were driven to the Roosevelt Hotel and an elevator whisked them to the roof where a large pool and a sumptuous dinner complete with wine awaited them. Michelle took some time alone with Brad to fill him in on her life, hopes and aspirations. He later gave her a rose which she displayed to all the girls, sticking the bright red rose in her pearly teeth.
The next day, Jackie, who had received a red rose from Brad, was driven by him to a mystery destination. He took her to the Peninsula Hotel where they were treated to a complete spa treatment. He then showed her to a large room with a fireplace where a rich collection of designer gowns, matching shoes, makeup and jewelry awaited her, complete with assistants to ready her for more fun that night. Jackie, agape at the riches being shown her, got tears in her eyes and thanked Brad for it. Leaving her to the auspices of her helpers, Brad went off to prepare himself for that evening.
Later that night, Brad drove Jackie and himself to a famous amphitheatre where they sat down to dine on the stage. Jackie was curious as to why they were there, asking Brad over wine. He told her to wait and then walked backstage. Suddenly, bright lights were turned on and a wheeled stage came round holding a complete band, a singer singing a snappy tune. Jackie had a big smile for Brad as he took her in his arms and they whirled round the stage. Later, Jackie accepted another red rose from the bachelor.
The next afternoon, Brad greeted the girls and informed them that there would be a get to know you cocktail party at the house that night. That was met with yells of pleasure and smiles.
That evening, Michelle, the one who had just turned thirty years old, got Brad aside and asked him pointed questions such as was he a Starbucks fan? Oh, yes, he was. The other girls were miffed because she seemed to be taking so much time to get to know him. Drama followed with Melissa feeling she was being picked on by the younger Raichel. The two women were definitely not getting along and a verbal argument ensued with some of the girls taking sides. Brad was called in by first Melissa, then Raichel with some alone time with each to give their side. Brad was not pleased and said so to the camera.
Chris, the host, brought some relief to the tense situation by bringing in Alli and Robert to talk to each of the women, finding out the real reasons that each was at the mansion. After that was done, the two gave Brad their estimation of each girl to which Brad thanked them.
When time came for handing out roses that evening, three women had to go home: Kelsie, Rachel and Melissa. Each of the rejected women was briefly interviewed and then drove away, two in tears. The remaining women stood beaming, staring happily at the bachelor who told them, "Let's make next week even better!."
