Week 6 (S16) - Recap
After refusing to give Elyse a rose and sending Jennifer home packing, Lindzi C. (27) Jamie (25), Rachel (27), Blakeley (34), Emily (27), Casey S. (26), Kacie B. (24), Nicki (26) and Courtney (28) remain in the running for Ben’s love. Tonight they are in Panama City, Panama and the girls arrive. They can’t believe that they get to stay in style and Courtney says that she is confident with being there since Ben and her went skinny dipping. Ben arrives in a Jeep and says that he is looking forward to seeing the women and there is a one-on-one, a group date and a two-on-one. Ben comes in and leaves a date card for the women. They read it and Kacie B. gets it. Courtney says that it would be good to see her not get a rose at the end of the date.
Kacie B. and Ben go to a helicopter and she says that this is the first girl to get a second one-on-one date. Ben says that his feelings really grew and wants to know if those feelings are still there with her. They go to a deserted island named San Blas. He asks Kacie B. what she brought and she says that she brought a monkey, a Swiss army knife and a bag of candy. Ben brought a Machete, Fishing Net and Matches. They manage to cut down coconuts and they catch a fish together. He starts to see that this relationship could last a while. Later at dinner, Ben wants to get into an intimate conversation and he feels that he can open up with her. Back at the house, the girls wait for the group date card. Lindzi reads it and it is for Emily, Nicki, Lindzi, Casey S., Courtney and Jamie. Blakeley and Rachel are not on date card and that means that they are going to be on the two-on-one.
Back at dinner, Kacie B. is a little shy at first, but says that it is not always easy for her to open up to other people. Kacie B. says that she had an eating disorder that lasted for about a year. She says that she learned a lot and says that she was grown up more. He says that it is a monumental moment and says that she is a brave girl. He gives her the rose and tells him that he has so much fun with her and says that they have so much to get to know about one another.
The next day, Ben gets to the Chagres River for the group date. He says that he is interested to see what the girls can do. Jamie loves that Ben is a man’s man. The girls get into a boat with Ben as they go through the forest and see villagers playing soccer. They go up to them and they get dressed into their garb and they keep their tops on, but Courtney decides to go topless of course. They start to dance and have fun. Ben is dressed in a loin cloth and sees that Courtney is into it all the way. He appreciates it. After the village, they get back to the hotel and Ben takes Lindzi to the side. She says that she doesn’t want to lie to him and tell him that she hasn’t cried over this and says that she loves having time with him alone to makes sure that their time is real. Blakeley and Rachel are in the hotel room when the date card comes in and tells them that they are going to compete for a rose for the night. Blakeley is over confident and says that it is in the bag for her. However, it is clear that Rachel is not that confident going against Blakeley.
Back by the pool, Ben takes Courtney to the side and talks about how he appreciates her assertiveness and says that she doesn’t want to stop that. She says that she feels that she has to keep the spark alive and says that she is in 1611 and that he is welcome. Jamie says that that she is going to kiss Ben. She goes up to him and Ben says that she is respectful. However, when Ben is talking with Jamie, Courtney gets in her bikini and goes into the pool. It is clear that he is distracted. Ben says that it is hard to see Jamie and his relationship going further, but he doesn’t know. She says that he wants to see if they have something together.
Emily is taken away by Ben and she says that she wants to be honest with him. She says that there is another man in her life. It is the chief. Ben laughs and says that he thought that she was serious for a moment. Ben asks if the entire jealousy thing is over and she says that it is. Afterward, Emily sits down with the girls and says that she made a rash comment about Courtney and apologizes to her for it. Courtney says that she respects the apology and says that she won’t forgive and forget. Jamie tries to mediate, but Courtney doesn’t care. Ben comes over and gets Lindzi and the rose. He sits down with her and says that he wants to give her affirmation that they have something. She gets the second rose. Courtney is upset that she didn’t get the rose and says that she deserves a kind of an award. Later that night, Courtney waits for Ben to show up or if he is going to show. However, he never shows up.
The two-one-one date is here and Blakeley is excited to be able to spend time with Ben. Courtney says that there could be drama, but Blakeley is focused on Ben. They meet Ben and he has one rose to give out in the evening. They are going to Latin Dance. He says that he is looking for the chemistry. The girls get Salsa outfits. Blakeley comes out in a frilly pink dress and Rachel comes out in a fluffy blue dress. They begin to dance and Rachel sees that Blakeley is being more sexual in her movement and is jealous of it. She tries her best to get the attention on her and Ben takes turns with each girl.
After the salsa dancing, Rachel, Blakeley and Ben go to dinner and the rose is sitting on the table. Rachel says that she hated the time only for the fact that she has to share her time with him. Ben takes Rachel to side and she tells him that she wants to know if there is something with him rather then being sexual with him. Ben takes Blakeley to the side and she says that she is feeling nervous and says that she really feels something with Ben and that a one-on-one could be better for her. Ben says that he noticed her. Blakeley says that she wants to share with him her scrapbook of their memories. They kiss. They sit back down and Ben says that ultimately he has to base this decision on a multiple of things. She gives the rose to Rachel. Blakeley gets up and leaves and he runs after her and says that he appreciates her opening up to him. She hugs him and he says that he is sorry. The girls at the hotel see Blakeley’s bag taken away.
Jamie says that it is going to be interesting to see who is going to stay and which are going to go home. Suddenly Chris comes in and says that he is going to have to take Casey S. to the side. He takes her off to the garden area and says that it was brought to her attention that Casey S. is in love with her ex-boyfriend, Michael, still and that he told them that she and him were together before her going to The Bachelor. She denies it, but then says that she is not completely over her ex-boyfriend. They go talk to Ben and he feels deceived. He tells her that she should go home now. She is an emotional wreck. Chris comes back and says that Casey S. was in love with another man coming onto the show. He says to the girls and tells them that they need to be open to truly open to finding love. They have a cocktail party to prepare for and a rose ceremony.
That night, Ben wasn’t expecting Casey S. to go home. He comes up to the girls and says that he wants them to be open with him. Nicki goes off with Ben and says that she has been open with him and that the love grows stronger with him. They kiss and she says that she is falling in love. Courtney says that she feels that she is going home and then laughs and says that she is feeling awesome. Jamie decides to make her move and over extends the welcome when she straddles Ben and starts to kiss him. However, she makes it more like a textbook kiss and Ben just wants to go for it. They are unfortunately not able to share their “kiss” that Jamie wanted and Jamie is scared that she is not going to be safe.
Afterward, Chris comes up and pulls Ben to the side. The rose ceremony comes up and there are 3 roses to be given out. The first rose goes to Nicki. The next rose goes to Courtney. The final rose goes to Emily. This leaves Jamie going home. Jamie says her goodbyes and hugs Ben. He escorts her out. Ben gets back to the girls and tells them that they are headed to the Tropical Island of Belize.
