Atop Wayne Industries, the Joining robots attack Batman and J'onn while the alien ships spread out across the platform. Batman blows a hole in the roof and escapes downward with Lucius, while J'onn holds off the robots long enough for them to escape in the Batmobile. Batgirl and Robin are waiting in the Batcave when Batman returns and informs them of what's going on. Batman tries to analyze the anti-gravity problem while the replicant Lucius head informs them that the Joining cannot be defeated...
