The guys are performing a new scientific experiment, that includes sending a message around the world from their computer and, without using the remote, control any electricity in the room they’re in. While cleaning up afterwards, Leonard discovers a note from a science company wanting him and Sheldon to present one of their experiments. However, Sheldon does not want to present the case, while Leonard is quite happy and decides to do it, with Sheldon forbidding him to do so.

Howard takes a photo of Penny who has fallen asleep on him at Leonard's presentation. However, on the phone he uses, a Nokia N95, the camera is on the back but Howard faces the front towards him while taking the photo.
| When Penny and Sheldon are walking up the stairs, Sheldon stops a short moment, but long enough for Penny to reach the next set of stairs. However, when the camera angle changes, Sheldon is next to Penny again and they are both walking up the next set of stairs at the same time.
| The video Howard plays on YouTube is different from what actually happened, and not just the angle, but several minor differences that can easily be detected if you watch closely.

Scanners is a 1981 sci-fi/horror movie both written and directed by David Cronenberg. The film centers on a fictional corporation that attempts to use normal people for their own purposes by telepathically and telekinetically either killing them or making them do their work.

Battlestar Galactica is a franchise of sci-fi TV shows and movies. The franchise started in 1978 with a TV show and has had many sequels afterwards, such as another TV show, book adaptions, original novels, comic books and video games. Sheldon, Leonard, Howard and Rajesh are big fans of this franchise and "Battlestar Galactica" is talked about throughout this show.

Users can add friends (and send them messages both privately and through "Wall comments" that are visible to all the friends of each person combined.) in addition to playing games, becoming a fan of "pages", participate in games etc.

This is a reference to an earlier episode, in which the guys attended Penny's Halloween party.
