Morgan tries to come up with excuses about the drawing, but Ridge twists her arm until she reveals that she got the drawing from Taylor before she left town. Amber thanks Deacon for his efforts, but tells him that nothing will fix what’s happened to her life – not even the $25,000 that she won. Amber is anxious to leave the casino, but Deacon convinces her to accept a wager that his life is more pathetic than hers. As they compare notes on growing up, Amber realizes that she may lose this bet after all. Deacon explains how important it is to him to break the cycle of abuse and not turn out like his father. Deacon swears that his son will never have to be ashamed of him. Rick tells Alexandra that he wants to make things right between he and Amber, but Alexandra suggests that he may be too late. Rick is stunned to learn that Amber and Deacon left town together. After, Rick calls a private investigator to help him locate Amber. Taylor worries about how Morgan will react when Ridge sees the drawing. She hopes that Ridge will be able to see through whatever explanation Morgan tries to give him. Meanwhile, Ridge apologizes for attacking Morgan and tells her how much he appreciates her presence. As they get back to work, Ridge tells himself that Morgan is lying and knows something about Taylor.
