Brooke tries to convince Rick that Amber has betrayed him by running off with Deacon. The investigator tracks Deacon to Las Vegas and Rick heads out to bring Amber home. After losing a bet, Deacon takes Amber to a tattoo parlor. Much to Deacon’s chagrin, she chooses a broken heart tattoo. Ted alerts Brooke and Stephanie that there’s been another charge on Deacon’s credit card – at a tattoo parlor. Brooke is sure that Rick is about to find out just how wrong he’s been about Amber. As they get their tattoos, Deacon fantasizes about family life with Amber and little Eric. Rick tries to call Deacon’s room from the plane, but there's no answer. When Amber wants to see Deacon’s tattoo, he reveals the other half of the broken heart, explaining that he promised to make hers whole again. Deacon tells Amber that as long as he’s known her, she’s been pushing him away, but she doesn't have to anymore. He explains that, like him, she's spent her life looking for the other half of her broken heart. He promises her that now she’s found it, and urges her not to shut him out. Deacon and Amber kiss as Rick arrives at the airport.
