Brooke realizes that Deacon hasn’t spoken to Bridget about the divorce, but she can’t bring herself to do it either. Deacon doesn’t want Brooke in the middle of the mess he’s created. Brooke thinks that Deacon has suffered enough and wants to handle it herself. Deacon appreciates her concern, but says telling Bridget that their marriage is over is something he has to do himself. They both wonder why they are so concerned about each other getting hurt. The moment becomes intense and they fall into a passionate embrace. Thorne is surprised that Bridget and Deacon are so close. Thorne tells Bridget that he doesn’t trust Deacon, but Bridget thinks he should because all Deacon wants is the best for her. Bridget says she trusts Deacon as much as her own family. Rick tells Thorne that even if he’s forgiven Amber, he still doesn’t trust her. Amber tells Stephanie that Rick isn’t leaving her, but she still has a lot of work ahead of her. In order to show how much she appreciates Rick, Amber plans a romantic dinner for the two of them. Rick isn’t in the mood, but Amber wants to try and ease some of Rick’s pain.
