Deacon finally tells Bridget that he wants a divorce. Bridget is stunned and demands to know why Deacon wants out. Deacon says he loves Bridget, but he’s not in love with her. Bridget shoots down every excuse Deacon gives her until he admits that he slept with someone else - and it wasn’t Amber. Amber thinks it would be good for all of them if it turns out that Deacon is really committed to Bridget. Rick and Thorne don’t buy Amber’s argument and just want Deacon out of Bridget’s life. Clarke insists that Tony and Kristen’s marriage will never work because Tony is going to eventually contract AIDS and die. Sally thinks that Tony and Kristen are remarkable because of their commitment, but Clarke wonders how solid it will be after Tony’s father gets through with them. Tony finally confesses to his parents that the reason the Forresters are opposed to him and Kristen getting married is because he is HIV positive. Liliana is stunned and unable to accept what Tony is telling her. Eduardo thinks Tony and Kristen are ridiculous for thinking they can live a normal life together. Kristen says that both sets of parents have no choice but to accept that they are going to get married. Liliana and Eduardo finally welcome Kristen to the family.
