Bridget turns to Amber for advice, and asks her what could be going on in Deacon's life that would make him forget about their sex life. Amber suggests she give Deacon a little inspiration. Bridget pulls out a teddy and asks if Amber thinks it will do the trick. Whip realizes that Deacon went through his desk. He assures Deacon that he's not blackmailing Brooke, just negotiating. Whip wonders what would have happened to Bridget if he hadn't stepped forward as the father of Brooke's baby. Whip tells Deacon that his wife, his lover and his baby are all depending on Whip, so Deacon had better start treating him with respect. Deacon calls Whip a self-serving con artist. Whip warns Deacon not to keep pushing him or the truth just might slip out. Brooke informs Megan that Whip knows the truth. She's worried about Deacon confronting Whip, but is sure that Deacon is too aware of what's at stake to give Whip more ammunition. Brooke is nervous about the dinner, but Megan points out that Whip may be ambitious, but he saved Brooke's life at the press conference and asks why he would ruin it now. Amber quizzes Megan about whether Brooke ever talks about Deacon and wonders if she’s has noticed anything strange about his attitude lately. At the Café Russe, Deacon admits that he's been preoccupied lately, and Bridget suggests that he make it up to her tonight. When Whip and Brooke join them, Bridget declares that there's something mysterious going on between them and by the end of the evening, she's going to know exactly what it is.
