Stephen is alarmed when Brooke informs him that Ridge is on his way - and that he’s determined to find out the truth about her accident. Ridge wonders what Massimo had to do with Brooke’s accident and how Taylor fits in to it all. Thorne tells Taylor that he and Ridge saw her at the Café Russe, and wants to know what the story is with her and Massimo. Taylor finally confesses the truth about Massimo’s plan and her knowledge of it before Brooke left town. Thorne points out that Taylor has jeopardized her strongest weapon against Brooke: the bond of trust she shares with Ridge. Thorne embraces a tearful Taylor, and helps Taylor see that it’s time for her to tell Ridge the truth. Massimo assures Stephanie that Jacques didn’t cause the accident and that his only crime was incompetence. They try desperately to reach Taylor, who appears and reveals that they’re not going to like what she has to say. Stephanie tries to convince Taylor that the worst thing she could do right now is to tell Ridge the truth. Meanwhile, Ridge arrives in Paris and demands to know what Stephen’s connection is to Massimo Marone. Stephen goes on the offensive and asks Ridge if he’s leaving his wife. Beth can’t take anymore and blurts that Stephanie asked Massimo to keep Brooke away from him. Brooke is devastated when Beth also reveals that Stephen isn’t sick at all.
