Stephanie admits to Eric that she was with Massimo at the Café Russe. Although Eric tries to make Stephanie see the web of lies Massimo has created, Stephanie insists that Massimo performed a miracle by getting rid of Brooke when no one else could. Eric believes that Massimo is a bigger threat to their family than Brooke ever was. Ridge and Thorne confront Massimo about his apparent relationship with Stephanie. Ridge shows Massimo the card with the ‘M’ and wants to know how it wound up in Brooke’s office. Meanwhile, On the observation deck, a tourist checks Brooke’s pulse. She’s alive! Stephen has too much champagne and accuses Beth of being responsible for Brooke’s inability to get over Forrester men. Beth retorts that Stephen sold out his own daughter. At the hospital, Beth is horrified that Jacques was allowed to leave, but Brooke tries to convince her that what happened was an accident. The doctor questions Jacques about Brooke’s fall. When Jacques hears the doctor tell Brooke that she’ll be all right, he slips out. Ridge tells Thorne that Massimo clearly has an ax to grind. Thorne suggests that Brooke may have been lucky to get away from Massimo when she did. Massimo is angry with Jacques, certain that he has sent Ridge back into Brooke’s arms. Ridge calls Brooke and tells her that he’s on his way to Paris. He vows to bury Massimo if he had anything to do with what happened to Brooke.
