Ridge and Thorne spot Stephanie at the Café Russe with Massimo. Massimo assures Stephanie that Brooke is being dealt with. Stephanie wants to know what he means, but Massimo thinks it's best if he keeps the details to himself. Taylor interrupts and tells Massimo that he needs to call Stephen Logan and tell him that it's over. She can't do this anymore. Massimo refuses to call off the plan and urges her to be patient. Thorne and Ridge are even more surprised to see Taylor joining Massimo and Stephanie in an obviously intense discussion. Ridge is concerned, knowing Eric's suspicions about Massimo's connection to organized crime, and wants to find out what's going on. Stephanie consoles Taylor and offers to take her home. Ginger tells Ridge that she thinks Stephanie was dining with Massimo Marone, but isn't sure because he signed his name with an 'M.' Ridge realized it matches the 'M' on the card and approaches Massimo. Beth is upset when she hears that Brooke is having dinner with one of Massimo's henchmen. When she wonders why Massimo cares so much about helping the Forresters, Stephen admits that he thinks Massimo is still in love with Stephanie. Beth can't believe that it's worth the money Massimo paid Stephen to turn their daughter over to a stranger. Stephen assures Beth that nothing will happen to Brooke, but Beth wonders why they haven't heard from her. Jacques takes Brooke to a secluded area at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Brooke says it is beautiful, but that she wants to go home. Jacques informs her that she is not going home. He insists that their evening is just beginning and urges her to start her life over with somebody new. Brooke is stunned when he kisses her. Brooke pulls away and slips, tumbling over the railing. Jacques cries out and tries unsuccessfully to catch her.
