Deacon and Amber run into each other at Las Olas and realize that Rick and Bridget have arranged a double date for lunch. Despite their discomfort, they decide that they’d better go through with it, especially after Deacon points out that they have a lifetime of holidays and birthday parties ahead of them. Rick explains that Bridget wanted to talk to him about the situation with Brooke. Bridget scoffs at the idea of “soul mates” and wishes Brooke would give up on her quest for Ridge. Deacon has to smooth things over when Amber points out that there is an obvious attraction between Brooke and Ridge. Bridget should cut her mom a little slack. Both Amber and Deacon are stunned when Rick expresses his hope that Amber will become pregnant before too long. Brooke shocks Stephanie with the incriminating pictures of her and Ridge, then reveals that they are computer-generated. Stephanie can’t believe that Brooke is still confusing lust with love, but Brooke insists that it goes much deeper. Brooke dismisses Stephanie’s insults, pointing out that her ugly words only prove how powerless she really is. Brooke tells her that when it comes to getting down and dirty, Stephanie’s the master and Brooke has learned from the best. Stephanie is happy to see Massimo, who commiserates with her about the situation with Brooke. He promises Stephanie that everything is going to be fine.
