Kristen tearfully tells Eric that she and Tony love each other, but they can’t be together. After Eric encourages Kristen to confide in him, Kristen breaks it to her father that Tony is HIV positive. Eric wants Kristen to promise that she will never see Tony again. When Kristen tells him that she can’t, Eric heads out, despite Kristen’s please to leave Tony alone. Tony is telling Sofia that he ended his relationship with Kristen when Sally bursts in with the entire Spectra gang singing, “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” They flip on the lights and see Tony’s tear-stained face. He orders them all to get out. Sally suggests that he needs a vacation, not a party. Tony tells Sally that he doesn’t care anymore and quits. Sally informs Tony that he has single-handedly brought the company back from the dead. She reminds him that a lot of people are depending on him for their livelihood, and he understood her need to avenge Macy’s death. When Tony comments that people die all the time, Sally is enraged and orders him out of the building. Clarke consoles Sally and finally reveals that Tony is HIV positive. Tony doesn’t answer his phone, so Kristen leaves a message warning him that her father is on his way over. Eric tells Tony that in one moment of carelessness, he could infect Kristen. He orders Tony never to contact Kristen again. Their relationship is over.
