Amber tries to reassure Rick after Little Eric shows his obvious preference for Deacon. Bridget encourages Deacon to let Rick in on the fun. She asks Amber if she’s thought about having more children. Bridget tries to convince Rick that Deacon is not a threat to him. She suggests that instead of being bitter, Rick should feel compassion for the limited amount of time Deacon has with his son. Meanwhile, Deacon takes a sleeping Eric to the guesthouse. Amber is in the shower and, thinking that Rick has come in, invites him to join her. When she steps out, she is stunned to see Deacon. He hands her a towel and comments on her tattoo, noting that she still has the other half of his heart. Tony tells Kristen that he wants her to fulfill her dream of having a marriage and children. Kristen insists that her dream was to have all of that with him. Kristen is stunned when Tony admits that he and Taylor have known for weeks that he might be infected. Kristen tells Tony that she wants to help him and be there for him. Tony wants her to pretend that he’s already gone. There’s nothing left for him but pills and doctors, and he doesn’t want her to be a part of that. He wants her to go on living their dream for both of them. Meanwhile, Taylor and Dr. Nunez wait for Tony to bring Kristen over to be tested.
