Deacon finds the tape recorder in Stephanie’s purse and destroys the incriminating tape. Stephanie tries to convince Deacon that the longer this goes on, the more devastated Bridget’s going to be. She warns him to stay away from Amber. Deacon assure Stephanie that she can’t win this. Eventually Amber will be his, and, until then, Bridget’s his wife. Bridget comes into the Insomnia and Stephanie tries to convince that Brooke and Eric are right about Deacon using her to force Amber to leave Rick. Deacon convinces her not to listen and they head home. First Deacon tells Stephanie if she wants war, then that’s what she’s going to get. Amber confides in her friend, Ginger, who points out that Amber will never have a man who wants her more than Deacon. Ginger realizes that Deacon turns Amber on and thinks Amber could maybe douse the flames by giving him what he wants just once. Amber insists that she’s happy with Rick and she’s a Forrester woman now. Ginger observes that it’s hard to be happy pretending to be something you’re not. Stephanie tells Brooke and Eric what happened. She thinks the pressure is mounting on Deacon and he won’t be able to snow Bridget much longer. Deacon calls Amber and tells her that he’ll be with her tonight; Bridget won’t know it, but Amber will be there. Bridget asks Deacon to look her in the eyes and tell her the truth – does he want Amber or her?
