Brooke tries to eavesdrop on Deacon and Amber’s conversation, hopeful that Deacon will convince Amber to stop the wedding. Deacon tells Amber that the minute Rick puts the ring on her finger, the Forresters will take control of her life. He asks if she wouldn’t rather spend her life with a man who respects and understands her, and wants her just the way she is. He kisses her passionately. Amber insists that she’s marrying Rick and there’s nothing he can do to stop her. Deacon tells her that the marriage is a mistake that he can’t let her make. He touches her cheek and leaves. Deacon reminds Brooke that he has a plan and now he has no choice but to go through with it. Amber has harsh words for Brooke and accuses her of letting Deacon in because she hoped he would convince Amber to call off the wedding. Eric admits that Brooke hasn’t had a complete change of heart about the marriage, but is certain that with Deacon out of the picture, Rick and Amber can relax and enjoy their wedding day. Bridget is thrilled when Deacon calls to say that he’s on his way. She thinks she could be happy with Deacon for the rest of her life. Deacon promises Bridget that together they’re going to bring down the house today. Stephanie tells Thorne and Rick that they’re the ones who’ve brought the family together, and after today, nothing will divide them again. The ceremony begins.
